Those young dogs photographed with Petra are labrador puppies from Guide Dogs Victoria. Their names are Dino and Dustin and are 13 weeks old. If things go well and they pass all their training one day in the future they will be Guide Dogs!
Glad to see it. She's slowly coming out of her shy, quiet shell. Sends a message to her opponents, as well.
At the beginning of this year it seemed like Petra was trying to tone down her act, but frankly, I think the effort reduced her intensity level. She seemed passive and she played passive. I want to see more of that crazy, fired up Kvitty GOAT that dominated at the end of last year. As long as she only shrieks after the rallies, she should be as freespirited as she wants to be. To hell with the media critics or whining public.
So how serious is Nicole? And how much game do you think she still has left in her?
Enjoy the match tomorrow.
Queen Petra's GS mojo can only be stopped by Petra!
From today's interview with her husband in the Czech press:
Your wife Nicole Vaidišová has allegedly started practising again. Does it mean she's coming back to play tournaments?
This question should be addressed to her. It's been only a few weeks since she started training again and I understand that it is big news for everyone that she picked up her racquet again after two years. But it's up to her what she'll do next and I will support her, no matter what her final decision is.
