Apparently Pliskova fired Kotyza.

Petra withdrew from Tokyo and is scheduled to play Wuhan , Beijing and Tianjin. And Zhuhai if she makes it that far.

Imagine Petra re-hired Kotyza and still kept Vanek...That'd be cool

This is a good decision. She did not train at all this week and would be a toast there. Wuhan could pump her up again.

Yep. She'll be happy she won't have to travel a lot since she'll stay in China for three weeks

That wouldn't make any sense at all. Vanek has been great for her.

Doesn't look so bad - Petra is 7-0 against Peng, 3-0 against Barthel and 7-1 against Strycova. Could have been much worse. Niculescu is lurking in qualifying though

Ostapenko is the trickiest in her section, but Petra has to potentially meet a 5-8 seed at that point anyway.

Is Kvitty in Wuhan now? Has she practiced at all?

Re: Petra's Asian Swing 2017

Shuai Peng first round at Wuhan..does Kvitty have good form or will it be an error fest?
Will she be playing in her coach's shorts and t-shirt or her jeans?

Re: Petra's Asian Swing 2017

Petra's serve has gone from being one of the best on tour to a weapon to just a point starter to a vulnerability now. She barely served over 50% in a 3h 30 min match which is ridiculous.

Re: Petra's Asian Swing 2017

And her 3 set record is atrocious now along with her TB record.

With the loss her Zhuhai qualifying chances are next to impossible i guess.
