Feedback & Suggestions

A couple of users have posted their ideas on how to improve/change TCG :) Some of these ideas have been really good, and I'm always open to suggestions if it will help improve the game.

So if you have any questions, ideas or feedback you would like to give, please post it in this thread :)

I actually agree with Stadia.

and further to silvia's comment on being fair to veterans, well, we're well aware veterans like you already get so much advantages, winning prizes playing in events since last year, getting the IF cards which now most would be 50%/100% :oh: I guess one point of being fair to both sides, is not to use surface bonus on IF cards

Well, I only joined around August last year and was disadvantaged too. And my squad and number of points are still far less impressive than those that have played right from the start. Building up your squad is a gradual process but the gap usually closes thanks to factors like luck, strategy, the limit on the number of cards that can be brought over from year to year, etc.

And I already pointed out the flaw in Stadia's suggestion ;)

Edit : Just realised you joined only 2 days after me, although you made it sound like I had a big advantage over you :spit:

Unfortunately the new players are already at a disadvantage and there's not much that can be done about that, turns out the surface bonuses weren't a great idea to begin with  but by taking them off sale it stops the advantage old players have from getting any bigger.

I'm trying to make the best out of a bad situation :sobbing:

Two ideas I had:

1) Management bonus: for the best managed squad in every gameweek (i.e. the player who picked, from the squad they had, the best five/however many cards). Might be hard to manage though, and also if you only had five players playing then you'd automatically get it. Maybe only if you have six or more players playing. That might give newer players a chance at winning something.

2) Lowering the price of the legends packs? Even just to 1000 or something.

I really like this idea actually (if I'm understanding your post). We could do normal scores but in addition, we could also look at everyone's 5 chosen players (not taking into account either IF or surface bonuses) and the player with the best 5 PLAYERS chosen also wins a prize. Maybe the card that the normal winner doesn't pick? Or if there is only one tournament then maybe just a surface bonus? This will help new players win some cards and close the gap on us veterans.

As a new player, the difficulty I'm having is in gaining players. I don't really care much atm for winning the week, etc because I can barely manage to field a team most weeks; but I think if there was a way for newer players to build their squads faster, that would be more beneficial. Additionally, SB usually don't help me that much, maybe it's cause all of my players blew in Miami and IW, but except for Petra in Stuttgart, the SB would have cost more to obtain than any bonus points I would get from them.

That's another thing about the surface bonuses, some new players felt the need to buy them to catch up but that meant they couldn't build ther squads with more player cards.

I think timing has a lot to do with it as well - someone who joins the week before a grand slam will get off to a good start, whereas if they join in an MM week it's much more difficult to gain points.

Fortunately Madrid and Rome are both good weeks for earning points so hang in there :)

yeah, new players shouldnt have buy SB.
SB only makes notable difference at slams and big Premiers. Even Suttgart kind of Premier doesnt offer enough pts to make SB really that great. Of course if you want to win the week, you need 50% bonus, but that means your team has to be pretty good too.

and for starters, some top20 cards were sold for 100-200pts in Trade thread while cheapest players pack is 750pts... ppl just buy too many packs. :p

Robyn, my idea about the limited # of surface bonus/month has no chance you´ll consider?

Next year when surface bonuses are gone i think you can already see a big difference. You should allow players to take a certain amount of players to the next year and start over with the points.(clean slate)

Yeah, I think it will be much better when we start again for 2013 the same way we did this year with everyone only taking 20 cards from their old squad. Right now it's a bit of a mess but as I said before, I'm trying to make the best of a bad situation. But at least now there's more focus on the basic aspects of the game - picking the right winners and collecting player cards, not collecting surface bonuses.
