Andrea in the middle East : Dubai

Draw is done
and she will face

Angelique Kerber
unfortunally she missed to be seeded by one spot
Bartoli who was in doubt is also there, because she was PlayerRepresentative

here the Draw section of Andrea

Kanepi(12) - Dushevina
Kerber - Petkovic
Qualifier - Kirilenko
Jankovic(6) - bye

Something was bound to go right sometime today, All these broken pieces fit together to make a perfect picture of us
It got cold and then dark so suddenly and rained, It rained so hard the two of us were the only thing
That we could see for miles and miles
And in the middle of the flood I felt my worth, When you held onto me like I was your little life raft
Please know that you were mine as well
Drops of water hit the ground like God's own tears
And spread out into shapes like Salad bowls and basins and buckets for bailing out the flood

Re: Andrea in the middle East : Dubai/Doha

It does happen quite often that player A loses to a player B when facing him again very soon. Let's see if Kerrbie finds a way to beat Petko this time - I think she needs the points more.

Re: Andrea in the middle East : Dubai/Doha

will be again a tough match, but i expect Kerber to win this time.
But maybe one of the seeded players will pull out before the first ball is played, then Petko could move into a seeded spot.

and yes, Kerber could use the points too.

oh no... this is a bad joke Actually I think Angie is better indoors than outdoors so let's see. Hopefully Andy was able to recover at least a bit.

Re: Andrea in the middle East : Dubai/Doha

Tough first 2 rounds. If she wins them she should win her third match. But shes clearly very tired, maybe a R1 loss and prepare for Doha wouldnt be too bad.

Bad draw but especially bad for Angie... she could've collected some points either at Paris or Dubai

Re: Andrea in the middle East : Dubai/Doha

Seems like Andy will skip Doha At least thats what she is saying here: http://andreapetkovic.de/node/704 (for those who can understand French)
She says she'll play Dubai, having two weeks of practice afterwards and then travel to the US.
She also says she didn't feel at 100% physically in Paris, being always one step too late.

Re: Andrea in the middle East : Dubai

One set apiece, almost nothing seperating these two. They just know each other too well.

BTW, I never understand Petkovic, Lisicki and Kerber when they get coached.^^ Quite frustrating as I'm German but they of course sepak their native tongues with their parents or coaches.

But Lisickis father always speaks German when he coaches And I think for Petko or Lisicki German is more or less their native tongue I would say. Not sure about Kerber though
