Kim. She better be in all kinds of pain, or I'll be pissed that she withdrew.

I hope that it's just precaution, the most important is to be ready for New York. If it's serious, I fear for her career now.

Yeah she did, but she might get tired of injuries if things continue that way.

There isn't much here in terms of details, but I could not find anything better

Former champion Kim Clijsters withdraws due to injury at Rogers Cup

TORONTO - Former champion and second-seed Kim Clijsters withdrew from her second-round match Tuesday night at the Rogers Cup women's tennis tournament.

The No. 2-ranked 28-year-old from Belgium withdrew in the second set while leading to 6-3, 1-2 against China's Jie Zheng.
Clijsters shook her head after hitting a forehand and left the match with a reported stomach muscle problem.
It was her seventh appearance at the tournament, having won it in 2005 against Justine Henin.

Despite winning the Australian Open, Clijsters has been hampered this year by injuries. She injured her right ankle in April and then withdrew from tournaments in Rome and Madrid due to right shoulder and wrist injuries. Clijsters also hurt her ankle in this year's French Open.
