So it's technically about tennis, but I thought it would have a better fit here in non tennis. This would be a thread just to post your own personal tennis results as they happen for those of us that play for fun. Yesterday I played a freind of mine that I play the most and I won 5-7, 6-3, 6-1. I was up 4-0 in the first set and then i don't know what happened but after the first set I only faced one break point the rest of the match and I saved it.
I played a match two weeks ago. I was up 62 51. Did a Dementieva choke to lose the second set 67 (4-7). Was up 4-1 40-0 serving in the third set. Lost it. Then I was up 7-6 0-40, opponent comes up with three incredible serves. Then at 7-7, I forfeited because my shoulder hurt so much.
I won 6:0, 6:0, 7:5. When we finished first 2 sets, my friend said there must be something wrong with his racket, so I took his racket and he took mine. The last set was strangely close, maybe it was something wrong afer all:lol:
So this week i had to drive to Ashford to play my tournament throughout the week.
1ST Round - 4-6 6-4 6-2 (i was down 6-4 *4-3)
QF - 1-6 6-4 6-1 ( I WAS DOWN 6-1 4-2 30-0)
SF - 7-5 7-5 (no breaks in the match until the last games - which is really some high quality stuff )
Final - today
I really shouldn't be winning these matches Well i should but i suck for a set and a half and get the ball in just that one extra time and it can do wonders. Plus my forehand is kind like Vee, sometimes i forget not to shirk my head when i return open-stanced.
This tournament is thanks to some Serena fans who gave me some extra tips I only play private tournies. I HATE the LTA
I won my last match against a pusher 6-4, 4-6, 6-0. I can't play pushers, but I managed to be aggressive in the last and literally hit him off the court. My backhand down the line became fire. I could not serve well though, until 3-0 in the final set.
I haven't played anyone who has ridiculously bossed me about from the baseline. I hate people who have a lot of plays to choose from. They can come in and be agressive, sit back and push or short slice to kingdom come.
I won my first 3 matches last week at a local tournament, all 6-0 6-0 then I beat the top seed in the final 6-0 6-0 as well. I didn't play so well throughout.
last week 3 of us were playing
I won 6-1 7-5 def DE
then lost 0-6 2-6 to ET after have been playing for 2 hours of tennis, my opponent 1st match that why he kicked my a*s 6-0
Hi everyone. Yesterday i played against my friend and it was 2:6 7:6(7:1) . We couldn't play the third set . In second set i had 4:1 and then i lost 4 games in a row ..;/ but i managed to win 7:6. I remember when i played very important final for me and i lost in 4:6(was up 4:2) 7:5 and 4:6(was up 4:2 and had 40:30 for 5:2) . I can see that lots of us have problem with losing a few games in a row. Well i am not alone at all. ;p
Tough match today! I only had 3 hours of sleep and was feeling as if I were to pass out but pulled it out 7-6 (3) 6-4 after being down 2-5 in the first set and saving 5 set points. Doubles was horrendous...I hate my partner still won it 7-5, 7-5 after a monumental effort.
