It has been a while ago so my memory could be playing some tricks. <img src="frown.gif" border="0">

I think that Sun Tian Tian is in her 1.70m. Hair upto her shoulders.

difficult to describe her face.

As far as her overall appearance is concerned, she is not as "athletic" as Li Na but she is not as slender as Liu Jing Jing.

As think that Liu Jing Jing must be around 1.75. I saw her however only during the 2000 ITF. In 2001, she lost during the qualies and I came back in Vietnam only just in time for the main draw.

So I missed her. I know however she had a lot of success...

As far as Sun Tian Tian is concerned, she is THE only player with whom I could not speak during this tourney. I tried to but she really avoided it. I think however she is a nice girl. Not so bad looking all in all <img src="wink.gif" border="0"> .

I had a look at the 2001 gallery already and recognised easily Li Ting, Li Na and also Liu Nan Nan. I did not see any clear picture of the others (I did not particularly looked for them also).

Did you recognise them?

I have however not had a look at the 200 gallery. I am going there and I'll tell you. I just hope that the pics are bigger than in the 2001 pages. Otherwise, I'll be needing a magnifying glass for the rest of my life.

There is only one I would know on the 2000 gallery : the one with the blue short. And I am not even sure it is she!!! But I would go for Sun Tian Tian.

She looks a bit like Liu Jing Jing and I can really make the difference only when I see them in real.

I have a difficulty to estimate the size on these pics.

But I think that Liu Jing Jing had shorter hair in 2000.

Sorry danker, I did not see that was more than one page. So the girl with the blue short I mention is on the first page. <img src="redface.gif" border="0">

I'll have a look at the other pages and let you know... <img src="wink.gif" border="0">

I am not certain but I think the pics #148 and 150 could be Liu Jing Jing. Easier to recognise the profile.

So to summarise :

- #148 and #150 would most probably be Liu Jing Jing

- #134 would most certainly be Sun Tian Tian

For the first one, I must admit I am not too sure now.

So danker, could you see the pics (as well as Liu Nan Nan in the 2001 gallery)?

Besides, is there anyone to confirm?

Yes, I could recognise all the Chinese players in the 2001 gallery including Peng Shuai who played doubles with Liu Nan-Nan.

For some reason, I can't see the pics in the 2000 gallery. Could u post the ones with Sun Tian-Tian and Liu Jing-Jing?

No problem danker (I just hope I am not far away and my guesses are right <img src="redface.gif" border="0"> ).

<br />According to me, this would be Sun Tian Tian :

Any second opinion <img src="confused.gif" border="0"> ?

I have had another look at the pics I thought were Liu Jing Jing but I think I am wrong. It looks more like Li Ting, before she puts on weight (she put a lot on weight between 2000 and 2001). I did not recognise her at first as I had mostly in mind her appearance in 2001, rather than in 2000.

I will have to take a second look for Liu Jing Jing. I think the earlier pics could be she.

Please just give me some more time. I'll find her <img src="graemlins/bounce.gif" border="0" alt="[Bounce]" /> .

danker,<br />do you mean the woman on the far right of the first pic? I have no clue.

I saw some other Chinese players in Hochiminh City (incl. one in the plane to Hanoi) but I did not get all the names of the players and I did not remember their faces <img src="confused.gif" border="0"> .

If you are talking about the guy with the white cap, he looks old enough to me to be a coach. I do not think however he is the one I met in Vietnam : he was younger and taller (around 1.95+).

But why?! - why? .... this girl could fully play some quality tennis! <img src="graemlins/firey.gif" border="0" alt="[Fiery]" /> <img src="graemlins/firey.gif" border="0" alt="[Fiery]" /> <img src="graemlins/firey.gif" border="0" alt="[Fiery]" /> <img src="graemlins/firey.gif" border="0" alt="[Fiery]" /> <br />She could really lay into the ball - a real quality player! - i can't beleive she was so easily discouraged by her ranking dropping a few spots! <img src="graemlins/sad.gif" border="0" alt="[Sad]" />

This really disturbs me .... <img src="graemlins/sad.gif" border="0" alt="[Sad]" /> <br />I saw her play against Hingis in Wimbledon and she matched her stroke for stroke! .... and i saw her at Aus open once .... she had a great forehand as well .... <img src="graemlins/sad.gif" border="0" alt="[Sad]" /> i guess i will have to wait for Nan-Nan or Shuai to take her place...<br />she the no. 1 Chinese player now is Tian-Tian or Nan-Nan?

<img src="graemlins/sad.gif" border="0" alt="[Sad]" /> <img src="graemlins/sad.gif" border="0" alt="[Sad]" /> <img src="graemlins/sad.gif" border="0" alt="[Sad]" /> <img src="graemlins/sad.gif" border="0" alt="[Sad]" /> <img src="graemlins/sad.gif" border="0" alt="[Sad]" /> <img src="graemlins/sad.gif" border="0" alt="[Sad]" /> <img src="graemlins/sad.gif" border="0" alt="[Sad]" /> <img src="graemlins/sad.gif" border="0" alt="[Sad]" /> <img src="graemlins/sad.gif" border="0" alt="[Sad]" />

She even beat Capriat before! <img src="graemlins/sad.gif" border="0" alt="[Sad]" />
