What is your favourite surface to play on?

Mine would have to be Har Tru Green Clay. Joined a green clay club this year and I loooooove it. Still getting used to the high bounce but the speed is perfect for me. Also much easier on the body, you can really tell the difference.

Love it more than any hard court or red clay.

Red Clay is definitely the best for my Bashing, but to me there is nothing like playing on a recently built (or redone) Hardcourt, especially if indoors. The tennis feels so much more high powered and clean

But Green clay sounds like it would be interesting to play on as well. As does Carpet and Grass.

Slow Hardcourts seem boring to me, but I would probably do better on them then any of the ones I like.

Re: What is your favourite surface to play on?

Ummm green clay sucks let me tell you all that, its pretty fake and not like normal clay. I have played only twice on red clay in Serbia at Novak Djokovic's academy but besides that I do not know much about it. I play lots on hardcourts and they are pretty good, but indoor hardcourts I don't generally like, the court feels to soft and the ball bounces pretty weirdly...

Slow hardcourt, I can hit it with power and with less risk of it going out

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.

Carpet & Fast Hardcourt are my favourite, basically because i grew up on it. I tolerate slow hard courts.

I hate red clay! Absolutely despise playing and moving on it. Same goes for grass

Re: What is your favourite surface to play on?

I think my best surface is a medium-slow hardcourt, because I can defend a lot, but my ball can still come through the court and so I can turn defence around and hit winners...also my serve is still key

I suck badly on clay as my counter punching becomes useless and I end up pushing, also my serve is less effective, which puts me on a bigger pressure.

I play well on fast surfaces like astro turf and generally indoor, but my defence is less effective and I am still not too confident as an aggressor...thus said, I hit flat and cope well with low bounces, so definitely better here than on clay

I am a weird Italian

may your choices reflect your hopes not your fears.

Re: What is your favourite surface to play on?

Red clay is the obvious choice. Well, clay I should say, but I haven't played on green clay so I don't know. It's easier on the body and the slowness gives you time to develop your strokes. I'm talking practice or just playing for fun, though. I'm probably more competitive on a fast, low bouncing hard court than clay.

Finally get to say I've played on grass.

1. Fast hardcourt/Indoor courts
2. Slow Hardcourts
3. Grass
4. Red Clay
5. Green Clay

The quicker the court, the more my flat ground strokes love it.

Grass. Just an unbelievably comfortable surface and under foot feels like nothing else.

Re: What is your favourite surface to play on?

Just got back on indoor hard for the winter after playing on green clay this summer. I gotta say my game is so much more effective on faster surfaces. Being back on them feels great.

Playing on green clay really helped my game though, I'm more consistent, I have better bounce anticipation, and better footwork too! It's been fun and I definitely recommend getting some experience on the slower surfaces, it helped my game.

It's more fun for me to play on green clay, but my game is just so much better on faster surfaces. So I change my favourite surface to fast hard courts.

Wozniacki. Stosur. Jankovic. Bouchard. Halep. Muguruza.
Venus. Stephens. Cornet. Hampton. Bencic.
