I only started playing again last year so my LK is still quite low. Hoping to get back to like LK 10 by the end of this year.

Re: German Amateur Tennis League and LK-Tournament Thread - Season 2013 - Vol. 1

Trying to make the first 700 in Germany so I automatically become LK1.. Right now 1016 and LK5 with two wins over LK4, so I only need one more LK4 or better to move up. With the new ranking coming up maybe around 800-900 Since studying in America I can only play the summer and always get close but never make the 700. Oh well, maybe this time.

I always think it's quite amazing how much you picked up your game and level since going to the US to study. I should have done something like that, too. Instead I didn't play seriously for years and only am back to playing more and starting to compete for a year.

I am 14 now so that's okay. It was quite strange, when I played as a junior I was something like 7 or 8 I guess, at least that's what many guys who played with me are ranked at now. But the long break is definitely shwoing, they improved while I barely play like before. So I started again last year and am now back to 14 but I don't think my fitness then was up to the level that I need to improve further. We also got promoted to a higher league now so I guess we'll have stronger opponents and more potential 'LK points' to grab. Last year I did not play anyone above 14 during the regular interclubs.
So LK 10 would be nice, but I don't think it will be possible this year. I don't really play tournaments all that much and I would need to do so.

oh, i thought you have no LK at all anymore

yeah, and you need always a bit luck to get the right opponents when you play with your Team.
If you really wanna go up you need to play LK-Tournaments, and even there it isn´t garanteed that you will get higher ranked opponents.
