I'm kidding but I do prefer hi-5s instead of handshakes, aint nobody want other peoples sweaty hands all over you. Normally I'll accompany it with a good game.

Once I played someone who always beat me in a club competition, and after winning a close match where he was shouting COME ON and stuff I was about to shake his hand and just shouted COME ON and turned around and walked off People watching laughed too.

EDIT: I should tell you the scorelines with this guy. I'd lost 6-1 6-1, 6-0 6-3, 7-6(3) 7-5 (he was injured and could barely run) and 6-2 6-0. I beat him 5-7 6-2 6-4 (it was 4-4 in the final set too).

...I usually say nice match, or great game. Mostly 'cus even when I have a solid or comfortable win there were enough competitive points that it doesn't sound like I'm being an ass. On the flip side, even on my worst losses (0's and 1's) I've always fought till the end so saying nice match is still applicable.
I don't really get the hi-5 thing with the opponent after a match, never seen a player do that

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.

Re: What do you say at the net after an easy win?

it's mostly because it is less contact time than a "normal" handshake ... after I've been handling dirty balls () and sweating for a couple hours ... shaking hands with someone doesn't sound super hygienic.

Ha, I actually always used to say ''Well played'', but I changed it years ago for that reason. Who am I to determine if my opponent played well? And of course, sometimes I know he didn't play well and it's just a lie.

Now I just say ''Thanks for playing'', no matter what the score was.

If i ruin them then i dont say anything, just shake their hand. If it was close and i win i say good match. If i lose i say nothing and just shake their hand.

Well I don't get many but the closest win I've had in a while is 6-1 6-4

It really should have been lie 6-0 6-2 cause it was an alternate

I was just like good match, better luck next time kid.

Re: What do you say at the net after an easy win?

I just shake their hand, one time though a kid got pissed cos I called a fault on a serve that was WAY out and I ended up winning that game and losing 6-1.. at the net I was like 'sorry about that but the serve was really out' and he was like 'ha, oh yeah..' all sarcastic and like he was way better, it got me infuriated and the next time I play him he is going down.
