Re: How many types of surfaces have you actually played on?

different variations of hard courts - fast and slow
And clay.

I like the smooth fast hard courts where the ball stays low and I don't like slow hard courts.

Clay is interesting. Takes a while to get used to it being so slippery and the occasional bad bounces.
I find moving and sliding left and right quite fun & easy but moving forward to short balls requires a lot of concentration. I find I don't have the footing to steady myself.

Is there any creature on earth as unfortunate as an ugly woman?

Re: How many types of surfaces have you actually played on?

Red clay, rebound hard court, synthetic grass, grass and a clay court which was rocks :/.
In Australia I had a court in my back yard which was like cement with a certain paint which made it bounce, idk but it was good, nice and quick. i grew up playing on clay and I like it but lately I am more prone to hitting brainless because I haven't played in about 3 months so I don't have any idea what to do but when I was able to stratergise and construct points clay was my favourite surface...

Re: How many types of surfaces have you actually played on?

I've played on a ton of indoors surfaces (all those carpet-y or hardcourts indoors), its actually what I learnt to play on. Hyper hyper fast, so now my game suits really well to fast hardcourts.

I play on outdoors hard all summer (Rogers Cup surface, actually Rogers Cup courts ).

Play often on green-grey clay, as its the only one we have in Canada. Especially in the summer, a few very important provincial tournaments played on it. Not doing that great.

Played a Futures tournament on red clay in Italy, which was a mess as I had never played on it before. Very different from green clay and just so doesn't fit my very flat game.

Played on fake grass a few times, its kinda interesting. Never got the chance to play on real grass though

Re: How many types of surfaces have you actually played on?

I've played on,

Plexicushion
Plexiplave
Red Clay and;
Synthetic grass.

My Favourite would have to be the plexiplave. I like quicker hard courts where the ball skids through, I don't particularly like how slow plexicushion is.

Re: How many types of surfaces have you actually played on?

Red clay, green clay, synthetic grass, various types of hardcourts, indoors.

I feel most confortable on clay, but if I adjust a bit and force myself to hit harder and flatter I can do ok on faster surfaces.
