Can someone compare me with a pro player on each tour (ATP/WTA)? My backhand is 2-handed and my forehand, one-handed.

So that's like more than half of the tour - not necessarily Venus Williams.

I am what Peak Pierce aspires to be.

Resident fan of the ever slumping Karolina Wozniacki.

Re: Which pro does your game compare most to?

My game is a work in progress.
My serve has really improved but only flat serves. Slow serves but I go for placement.
Mostly a baseliner but I'm not scared of volleying anymore like I was in the past.
Two-handed backhand for normal strokes and volleys. One-handed backhand for slice.
One-handed or two-handed forehand (I can switch easily) for normal strokes. But only one-handed for slice and volleys.
Love hitting lobs and angled shots. Tend to go for a little too much at times. Bad habit I've now gotten rid of. I'm working on consistency and the big difference is that I enjoy hitting the ball for the sake of hitting the ball. Love hitting with a lot of topspin but since I switched to a denser string pattern racquet switched back to my old racquet 16x20 - I need the spin.
Prefer to take open stance for both backhand and forehand. That was one of things holding my game back, I'm really working on my footwork to be ready for every situation.

Semi-western grip for forehand, semi-western grip on the top hand for backhand. Of course, all continental for slices and volleys.

Apparently my footwork is good even although I don't think it is. But I probably think that only because my anticipation is so poor. I would know someone's going to drop shot and yet I won't leave the baseline until the ball leaves their racquet. I have slow reaction, that's not I'm scared of the net. So I think that's the problem, not my footwork.

Prefer slower, high bouncing surfaces. I don't think I play like anyone. I would like to think that my game is built about wood racquet style strokes but with modern grips and equipment.

I just enjoy hitting the ball and enjoy moving the ball from corner to corner, front to back.

My game resembles Maria's in what shot is my best one (backhand) but my game resembles Henin in the point construction aspect

I hate to admit it but my game consists of Su-Wei Hsieh's strokes, Flipkens' slice backhand, Wozniacki's shot making ability and Hantuchova's mental strenght.

Re: Which pro does your game compare most to?

I've recently started practising playing very flat and hard, something a la Lisicki.
It's worked out during practice so well
I played a match against a guy I play every now and we often have quite challenging 3 setters. I started really well, hitting nice flat winners, throwing in a drop shot every now and with very little errors but my arms were dead after about 4 games into the 1st set
I ended up winning the match 6-1, 6-4 but even from this scoreline you can see how much this method has helped me with winning the match, especially judging by the first set score
I'll be moving in that direction now

Bring back Maria Sharapova!

Jeez I posted in this thread 4 years ago, and my game has come such a long way. Used to never want to hit a BH, now it's my favorite shot. And now my serve actually works

I'm not sure...I would say before my long break from playing I was a less streaky version of Pierce...now that I've started back playing again I wouldnt insult Pierce comparing myself to her I'm sooo streaky now

Played half a doubles match today.
I've just realised that as aggressive as I want to be, I play like Wozniacki.

Bring back Maria Sharapova!
