Re: 4 double faults in a row to lose game?

Well I was given a game with 4 df in a row, but I never did it. 2 or 3 in a row. I had so many problems with my serve 2 years ago or so.. Now it's okay

Re: 4 double faults in a row to lose game?

Used to DF a lot when I didn't put any spin on my second serve, essentially it was a slowed down version of my first serve. Now I don't DF so much, maybe twice a set on a bad day. It's just weird being told that you have to move your racquet head faster to get more control by getting more spin - it feels so counter intuitive. Every time I have to hit a second serve on a big point I have to remind myself to go for it more rather than less.

Yanina Wickmayer - Laura Robson - Aga Radwanska - KiKi Mladenovic - Angelique Kerber
Simona Halep - Heather Watson - Julia Goerges - Kimiko Date Krumm - Lucie Safarova - Nadia Petrova

Re: 4 double faults in a row to lose game?

I did 3 DF's to lose a game at 4-3 against my friend from ADV-40. I don't know how I did it, and I've never done it before, but I managed it. I still won the set and the match fortunately.

I say no, but I very well could've. I've had to do hundreds of push-ups in a day of practice when my coach would make us do 10 per double fault.

Re: 4 double faults in a row to lose game?

It happened in the tournament which I won this year and which marked my biggest success ever in tennis...
I was in the final, I won the first set 6-4, lost the second one 3-6 and in the third one I was 4-5 down, his serve...
He lead 30-0, then hit 4 DFs 5-5.
I hit two aces to hold for 6-5.
and he again hit 4 DFs to make me win 6-4, 3-6, 7-5.
Those were his only double faults of the entire match..!
He was sooooooo nervous

Re: 4 double faults in a row to lose game?

I hit 22 DF's in my last match. Worse, it was a two setter 3-6 4-6.

Sooooo embarrassing.
