So it's technically about tennis, but I thought it would have a better fit here in non tennis. This would be a thread just to post your own personal tennis results as they happen for those of us that play for fun. Yesterday I played a freind of mine that I play the most and I won 5-7, 6-3, 6-1. I was up 4-0 in the first set and then i don't know what happened  but after the first set I only faced one break point the rest of the match and I saved it. :bounce:

I think Charlie woulda posted already if he won. :awww: I even looked for le tournament in the online version of the Kuh-BECK City newspaper. Deportes seems out of date, with an April blog post by some chick named Lav-WAH talking about the NHL as the lead item, not counting RG and the current playoffs. As Commissioner Gary Bettman is mentioned, maybe Le Nordiques of Stastny brothers fame will return.

So yes, indeed, I lost that match on Friday night: 7-5 3-6 6-4 in barely 3 hours. Sadly I have been hyper sick in the past few days, fever and can barely talk now, so I got on court not feeling my legs, with barely any energy. I'm fricking proud of the way I fought (was down 1-5 in the third, barely managed to level it up), but really disappointing as I had high hopes.

Good part is, as it was my first match (had a bye in the first round), I am now in the B-draw, where I'm considered a fave to win. Played my r16 b-draw match today and won 1 and 0 in barely 30 mins. Quarters probably on tuesday now, I'm really happy to maybe have 1-2-3 matches I definitely am favored to win, its nice for confidence and i definitely need matches. Hopefully the flu will calm down by then :)

So its double elimination, where you could still wind up winning, needing to beat the eventual KO survivor on the A side if you win thru on yours? And maybe Simon Larose can give you some err, "medication" to speed your recovery. So you agree that in the err Picture Posted, your Stephanie looks like the Peppermint Puzzle? :tape:

Yeah lol, guy really wasn't good. I could win every point on like one shot when needed.

JR: Sadly I can't wind up winning the whole tournament, just the consolation B-draw, with all losers from first and second rounds. Would still be nice to get through it. And...I can kinda see the ressemblance, yes ;)

So, finally ended up playing decent tennis today, first time this week. Won my semifinals 6-1 6-1, was solid all around though my serve was a touch off.

I really shouldn't be in that draw and I think it shows, though my opponent in the finals is kinda in the same situation. So it should be interesting, but I'm confident!

And yes I do get a trophy and even a little prizemoney. Probably enough to pay for my signing up, though I'm giving all my money to Val for our fundraising for cancer :)

today i won my match 7-5 4-6 10-4

i was once again down 2-5 in first set, but then i finally started to handle the windy conditions better and better, and then i won the first set 7-5
second set i was way to passive and was down 1-5, i cam back to 4-5 but then he took the set 4-6
at the beginning of the MatchTiebreak i got a solid 4-0 lead, but he came back to 5-4
but then i took the match 10-4 :woohoo:
was i important win for my team, since it gave us a 4-2 lead after the singles

i won my doubles 6-4 6-2, and overall my Team 6-3

good day for me and my Team :)

Good job matthias :) That team competitions sound like great fun. It's a pity we don't have something like this here :(

I had a match against a friend I haven't played for more than a month (we play often together). Our matches are very competitive. I am really satisfied with my play today. I won 6-1 6-7 6-1  but my serve wasn't broken for the whole match. I could have won the 2nd set, but a missed an easy volley at 4-4 in the tiebreak and then choked a bit. Anyway, I didn't make many DF's and my groundstrokes were pretty solid and this was probably one of my best matches in the recent months.

So to finish this up, I ended up losing 7-5 7-6(4) in the finals.

Great match really, I'm a natural attacker and he was really defensive. I totally understand how frustrating it is to play Caro now ;), I probably had 30+ winners easily, but also a ton of errors. Long, 15-20 shots rallies all match long, I really got tired in the end of always having to push a little more to attack and missed just a few key shots. Served for both sets at 5-4, but just couldn't keep up the agression and missed a lot of first serves.

And then, after such a tough match, I drove for 3 hours, went to walk all night long for cancer research with Val, slept aout 2 hours, and drove back here. Pheww!

Been on fire lately!

Won my first match today 4-6 6-2 6-3 and hitting some nice serves and FH's against a tough player.

Won my second round 7-6(8) 7-6(7) saving 6 SP's in the first set and 2 SP's in the 2. Played really really well against a big server. There was only 2 breaks.

Won my quarters 3-6 6-4 6-4! Ugly first set and found myself down 3-6 2-4 0-30 and served 3 aces to eventually tough it out against a huge baseliner!

My semi's and hopefully finals are tomorrow!

Tomorow and Sunday I will have my 2 first real tennis tournaments :)
2 matches at one day
against players in my class (I'm at the moment LK23, that's the lowest level as I'm beginner and the best is LK1, means Pro in Germany :p)
I will have my first match tomorow at 9.00 am against a 17 years old boy who is also LK23.
Afterwards I will play against a guy, who is LK21.

I'm so excited...:bounce::bolt::crazy:
