Re: Your tennis results?!

Today it was raining, so me and my friend didn't play on the clay outside, but indoors. I had forgotten how much I love indoor hardcourts I won the match 6-3 6-2. My serve was on fire. My first serves were going in very regularly (over 70% imo) and I also had very high percentage of first serve points won. I'm really happy about that. The bad thing is that I had a little bit more backhand unforced errors. Unfortunately, only clay tournaments are coming in the next months

Re: Your tennis results?!

Played my very first tournament in Germany yesterday. Couldn't have been worse

Been way to nervous and made tons of errors. Wasn't that nice to start on clay without preperation.
And the best... I had to retire in the second set because I ijured my back Would have had a second match, but couldn't play it. At least I'm feeling better today, but an old granny would still move faster than me.

Would have played another tournament next Saturday, but doesn't look good at the moment.

No, I woke up at 6.30am, went there for over one hour with the tramway, bus and on foot just to hear them screaming to someone else: hey, we decided to cancel the tournament for today...
I turned around and went back home
the worst, my i-pod went off after just 5 minutes, as I forgot to load it

Re: Your tennis results?!

I played against my Dad today and he can play pretty well. I Served 2 aces in the 1st game including a 2nd serve ace on the 1st point and 2 dropshot winners later on in the game but ended up losing the set 4-6.

My serve fell apart in the 2nd set but somehow I managed to win it 6-3. Although it could have been much faster, I lead *2-0 and had 2 points for 3-0* but got broken. also at 3-2* I hit 2 consecutive forehand return winners and had 2 breakpoints but lost the game anyhow and I got really pissed off with myself In the end I can be pretty happy though, but I really need to be more consistent on serve
By the way we only played 2 sets because we hired the indoor court for 1 hour so we couldn't continue.

Scoreline:

Set 1: 1-0*, *1-1, 1-2*, *1-3, 2-3*, *2-4, 3-4*, *4-4, 4-5*, 4-6. (got broken twice, and broke once, held 3 times)
Set 2: 1-0*, *2-0, 2-1*, *3-1, 3-2*, *3-3, 4-3*, *5-3, 6-3. ( got broken twice, broke 3 times, held 3 times)

Re: Your tennis results?!

I'm playing a class 6 tournament in Dublin at the moment.

Saturday I played first round in singles, and I beat a friend of mine 6/4, 6/0. He has really tricky game, but I know that he prefers when people is hitting hard (as I'm usually doing), but this time I was playing dropshots, lobs, slices... and it was effective

Second round was against a big serves, who had a good backhand as well, but not really good movement or forehand (he was really tall), and I trying to move him side to side. Eventually I won 6/3, 6/3, but I was wasting like 12 match point (4-5 of them being 5-2 up). The match, specially the 2nd set, was closer than the score tells, REALLY long rallies

Hopefully the good weather holds in Dublin and we can play quaterfinals on Tuesday/Wednesday

I played doubles as well, winning first round 2-6, 6-0, 7-5. Second round on Tuesday!
