Re: Your tennis results?!

Played one of my friend who plays on San Jose State's tennis team.

My serve was working quite well today.

6-1 6-0.

I'm really pissed though, because I was up 0-40 on his serve @ 5-0 in the first, but I lost concentration and he wound up holding serve. DAMN DAMN DAMN.

Career Grand Slam in your 20s? Been there done that. Career golden slam your 30s?
There's only 1.
Been around the world, copped all 4 thrice.

Re: Your tennis results?!

Today, I played tennis with my mom for the first time in 10 weeks, and I've got most of my skills, just felt real lethargic and slow and then had no kick serve. It was either a flat serve, slice serve, or very mild kick...which didn't bode well for me, as my mom is the Serena Williams to my Ana Ivanovic. Had we been actually playing, woulda lost prolly 6-7

Next stop: Roland Garros

Ana ('08 RG), Serena (21), Venus (7), Petra (2), Angie ('16 AO)
Vika (2), Sveta (2), Simona, Garbi, Ka. Pliskova
Aussie Kim, Mahree (2), Monica (9), Dokic, Sandrine, Jie

Re: Your tennis results?!

Futures probably vary in difficulty depending on how close to slams/top tier tournaments they are, and also when the college players are in school vs. out of school.

I'm 0-3 so far, and probably will be 0-4. I'm mostly playing them for the experience, though I have friends (that I can beat) who have won some qualy matches before.

It usually depends of where you are in the world, if it is close to a big city and how many tournaments there are in the same region in the same week. And yes, College players are usually quite abundant. If you don't have the game to be in any Division of NCAA, im guessing you'll find it rough. But I usually do, which is part of the experience.

I think it's definitely worth a try, is always a fun experience.

How much do you have to pay for playing a future tournament?
