So it's technically about tennis, but I thought it would have a better fit here in non tennis. This would be a thread just to post your own personal tennis results as they happen for those of us that play for fun. Yesterday I played a freind of mine that I play the most and I won 5-7, 6-3, 6-1. I was up 4-0 in the first set and then i don't know what happened  but after the first set I only faced one break point the rest of the match and I saved it. :bounce:

Nope, it doesn't get better if I use less power. Need to practise a lot more, then it gets better for sure :)

I only started playing tennis like two months ago, so it's still a loooong way...
But great to see all the improvements... I guess today I would have beaten my me from the last match with something like 6-2 6-2 :D

Generally ;)

Had a good feeling about that too.
It helps me a lot to get coaching-lessions from the beginning on. :)

I'm gonna, eventually, get back on the USTA and play men's events. I just dropped competing because of school, but now that I have a car, I certainly will be doing some competing. I miss it...knocking the ball around is fun and everything, but nothing like getting the adrenaline of match point down.

After two straight three-set heartbreakers (the last one after BAGELING my opponent in the first set :fiery:), I pulled out my first win of the Ultimate Tennis season last night, 7-5, 7-6(4). :yeah:

I'm playing in a 4.5 round robin USTA event Saturday. 10 game pro sets for the matches, which I'm a bit nervous about, because I am a notoriously bad pro-set player. Always been a very slow starter, and having a 2nd set reset has always done me well.

Yeah I am such a slow starter too!

My two first sets were 6-0 and 6-1...:/:/

My second sets were 6-3 and 7-5

I was down 6-1 4-1* and had not held serve all match and leveled it at 1-6 4-4*

His next service games were all really long but I had no break points :(

I saved 3 match points at 4*-5 0*-40 but lost it at 5*-6 from 30*-15 up :fiery:

I played a match the other day in what had to be the windest day in eternity... On one side of the court I had to hit so hard and it barely went over the net and then the on other side a powder puff ball could sail long. :tape:

I won the second set losing only 4 points  but I still lost the match :sobbing:

6-3 0-6 6-4 :(

I adjusted my service position in the ad court, moving over three feet to the left, and hooked my lefty serve out wide for a bunch of aces. Also nailed the deuce serve out wide and down the T, and threw in enough ad court serves down the T to keep my opponent honest. Best serving day ever. Was tired when I came out, so split sets 1-6, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.

Summer singles 4.5 mens.
Won all 6 of my matches in straight sets. Most games lost in a match was 5 games. Got broken 2ce in 6 matches.
Made it to playoffs as the top seed.

I literally am in the best form of my life. I changed racquets to the Babolat Aeropro Drive and now that I can control the increased power it's like I have a light saber in my hands.

Well, I lost 10 matches so far this season, against other club-players, but no double bagel so far and just 2 bagles till yet.
Could win a set and had some good matches till yet, but wasn't lucky with the draws.

I haven't played much in the past couple of months, but there's a tournament coming up in September that I want to enter. I've played 4 tournaments in the past year and thanks to a string of lucky draws, my Australian ranking is now in the 700s.

It's really cool that my ranking is that high, but now I'm nervous that I might actually be seeded in upcoming tournament but I fear that my ranking is inflated and I'll have some embarrassing losses.

How should I approach this upcoming tournament?
