Played my friend again. Same guy who I lost 62 61 against the other day. Much closer this time. I lost 7-6(5) 6-4.

I let so many leads slip away it was so frustrating. Yes he did produce good tennis during many of those points but silly UEs on my part on the clutch points was also my down fall

I led *2-1 and *3-2 and *5-3 40-15* in set 1. Hit two BH UEs on those set points. Served for it at *5-4 and again at *6-5. He produced some winners and I didn't hit that great of serves/shots when serving for it. I was down *0-3 in the tiebreak and got it back to 5-5 but I hit an UE and then he came to net and put away a simple FH volley to win the breaker 7-5.

Second set I led 3-0* and *4-2 and had him serving at 0-40 at 4-3* but couldn't break. I was up *40-15 4-4 with another game point at Advantage but couldn't hold. Had him at 4-5* 40-15* when he served for the match but couldn't do it.

It's so unbelievably frustrating I can't even describe it. This guy is better than me. Usually crushes me. I'm lucky to get a 6-3 set most of the time. But I incorporated a different game plan than usual. Pushing.

That's right PUSHING. OF ALL THE GAME PLANS I HATE I USED IT AND IT WORKED I just made sure to hit deep, adding aggression only when need be, and just getting the ball over. Of course he hit plenty of clean winners, mainly on the FH side, but he also hit a TON of errors. And I cared not one bit

I did play 2 hours of doubles before we played so I was a bit tired going into it but nothing I thought was the reason I didn't win. He was more clutch on the bigger points. All in all my body is dead tired today but it was great fun. I don't mind losing at all. I just want the scoreline to be decent and not 61 61 everytime.

Oh god - could never
I hit them crosscourt, which annoys western forehands and dtl on the approach so I get an easy volley

I fucking LOVE FH slices. So much fun to wind up for a big FH and then just slice it DTL and see the opponent scramble to get it

I played juniors like this and since going to two handed on both sides I see why it's a horrible idea, still fun though.

Re: Your tennis results?!

I have a new hitting partner. Tall fella, nice build, married unfortunately but beats me every time.

Strong serve, good groundstrokes and very good net play. He disclosed that he used to workout 4-5x a week and I realised I was up against this 'athlete'.

My friend told me to join Sydney's Gay and Lesbian hitting group on Sundays but the venues a bit far.

Re: Your tennis results?!

I took a 2 week break from tennis (which isn't that bad) and when I played again, the weirdest thing happened.

I've always had a terrible backhand. Could hit some defensive backhands but never had much pace or variety. My forehand however was very very dependable and strong. But after the little break, It totally switched I was hitting incredible flat, fast backhands, but couldn't hit one clean forehand

Has this ever happened to anyone?

What if you're just bad on both wings

Yesterday was a hot mess fuckfest. Lost 61 57 57

After GOAT 1st set, i lead 41, points for 51, 4 match points at 52 and 53, got aced 3 times at 54.

Second set lead 51, wasted match points every game until 55, when spewed unforce errors almost every point. It was sooooo horrible

deep down in the depth, of my rebel heart
