I guess I have to work my way up on the team first in order to play singles. I'm not much of a doubles player though
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give us details once you're done!

I have a singles ultimate tennis match on friday

Hope you hit 100 volley winners.

Despite not making many winners, she's still an agressive baseliner, and she doesn't only win matches by waiting the opponent's mistake, though she can do that at times also.

Just my luck.. It got cancelled because of rain

It only rained for like 10 minutes here and then stopped but the courts were too wet to play on. The match is rescheduled tentatively for this Saturday

Re: Your tennis results?!

I won 3-6 6-1 6-3 yesterday. It was amazing match. I was very agressive. There were a lot of forehand winners and volley winners. My first serve was good in 2&3 set. My opponent cuoldn't do anything against my attack. He plays like Niculescu I play like Parmentier or Cirstea with a little bit Wozniacki style.
Today I lost 2-6 6-4 5-7. I played against guy who lost me yesterday/ I always play with him. In first set I couldn't find my game. I had a lot of UE's. I hate his forehand slice. In second set I felt better and won it. And in third set each game was very equal. There were a lot of long rallies. And I broke down from 3-5* and led 5-5 0-40* and lost because of stupid errors. And I was very tired. Today it was 30 degrees Celsius. It's very hot.

Re: Your tennis results?!

so far played 3 USTA league matches, won all of them!

1st Doubles - 4-6 7-6 [1-0]
2nd Singles - 6-0 6-3
2nd Singles - 1-6 6-2 6-2

The most recent match, 3 set win at 2nd Singles spot, was probably my most mature and complete performance in over a year. I was able to dial up and dial down speeds as the points called for in an effort to maintain form with the heat and the sun bearing down on my opponent and I. I closed it out with a service winner, two clean winners, and forcing a backhand error out of my opponent.

It is Tuesday now and I'm sore as fuck.

TT Singles: 2014 SF: Bogota, New Braunfels. 2013 F: Las Vegas, SF: Orlando, Sibenik.
TT Doubles: 2014 W: Trnava w PinkTape. 2013 W: St Martin, Orlando, Sibenik, Charlottesville, Nantes-YEC all w Soliloque; Lexington w DJDVD.

Re: Your tennis results?!

Not anything about matches, but I've been able to incorporate a solid forehand slice into my game (for variety as well as for approaches) and to a lesser extent a backhand slice

Re: Your tennis results?!

^An aggressive inside-out forehand slice is actually my favourite shot to hit.

Re: Your tennis results?!

I couldn't hit a 'aggressive' FH inside out slice if I tried. Maybe it would go over, but if I tried to make it actually be aggressive it would turn into a failed dropshot or spin backwards.

On my FH side I just BBB from the baseline/close to service line

Re: Your tennis results?!

I love approaching off them or occasionally teeing-off on them, especially after I've managed to get my opponent off the court on the forehand side on the previous shot.

Re: Your tennis results?!

^Yes. I also basically don't have a serve anymore, just to protect my back. In terms of serving, I am the Australian combination of Sara Errani & Elena Dementieva.

What happened to your back?

I'm a standard Right hand, 2 handed BH, but I try to be different and hit 1 handed BH's and two handed FH's sometimes but If I do it at practice my coach gets annoyed.

I've had back issues as long as I can remember, and right now it's about managing it, so I have to serve at about 25%. I can't even remember the last time I could serve at full power.

I can never hit 1-handed BH's, but I love crunching double-handed FH's when I don't have to move to them. But since I don't practice them anymore, most of the time I just shank them.

Yeah, most of the time the pain is centered in my lower back, but it occasionally migrates or spreads across the rest of my back. I'm not sure how common it is, but either way it's really frustrating.
