Lost 6-0 6-4 6-4. Led 4-0 with a double break in the second set and 3-4 0-40 in the third. Because fuck my life, that's why.

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.

Played against a friend. Won 6-3, 6-3.
It's pretty easy match. He hit quite well in practice but chocked in match. He's never won me in an official match.

Re: Your tennis results?!

I played my first competitive match in nearly a year--after nursing plantar fasciitis and tendonitis in my hip. I was playing Toledo--and I steamrolled through my first match, winning 6-1, and then teamed up to win the doubles with a partner. I proceeded to play my final singles match of the day--and I found myself down 2-5 15-40 playing no-ad scoring under USTA rules. I essentially just started somehow winning points, and I save 6 match points--and I force a tiebreak. Now, under team tennis rules, a tie break is first to five, with 4-4 being sudden death. After saving six match points, I battled all the way to a tiebreak, and managed to hold my nerves to save my seventh match point and win the match.

I'm unbeaten in Club Tennis this year, which is pretty damn impressive.

Congrats! Wish we didn't have blizzards upon blizzards here so I could at least go hit. I like hitting in the cold. I tend to overheat. And watching the Aussie Open makes me want to play so badly!

Re: Your tennis results?!

Just signed up for my very first league in Ultimate Tennis, and start in less than a month. February 8 I think is the official start. Pretty nervous/unsuspecting because I have only ever played my one friend who is a lot better than me. Excited to be able to play against people more on my level I am a major choker though so we'll see how it goes

Also found a nice Mixed Doubles tournament in April that I'm going to sign up for too

Despite not making many winners, she's still an agressive baseliner, and she doesn't only win matches by waiting the opponent's mistake, though she can do that at times also.

Re: Your tennis results?!

I did play a friend the other weekend. First time I've played in months. We played 4 sets and I lost 57 36 36 16.

First set I served for it at 5-4 and classic choke But played well enough. Played a good match for my standards after months without even stepping on courts to keep sets 2 and 3 rather close. Last set I was annoyed and kind of wanted to just go home so didn't give it 100% effort, but still tried every point but didn't bother trying to hit aces or serve big etc.

It was a fun night overall, but my negativity is astounding sometimes. It's just for fun and then all of a sudden I go into rage mode. I'm such a weirdo sometimes

It pays to go to a college where I get "free" indoor courts.
