Swisscom Challenge

Patty def Eleni 6-3, 6-3 in the 1st round. she said in her post match interview that she feels she played in a similar way to like she did last year, so that's a good sign.

next up is amelie. a pretty ordinary patty got a set point of her last, so an in form patty should really be in this. i really hope she wins because she will play the winner of dokic and stevenson in the quarters which equals a great chance to get to semis, and then she's in with a real shot even against kim, because patty is traditionally almost unstopable once she has momentum in a tournament (actually only she can stop herself )

(copied this post from the other thread since it really belongs in here)

Patty has shown on plenty of occasions that she is a player who can really disrupt Mauresmo's confidence. And that's without the additional advantage of 5,000 rabid Swiss fans stomping and chanting HOOOOOOPPPPP SCHWIIIIIIIIIIZ after every point. Patty is riding a streak of 15 straight service holds (not too shabby for women's tennis!) If Mauresmo doesn't bring her A-game she could find herself on the train back to Geneva before she even knows what hit her.

it's probably about another 1% of the country as well, probably about 10 people in the crowd

The 8:15 to Geneva has departed - and guess who's on it!

Perhaps someone would care to go back and re-read my first post in the "Filderstadt" thread from last week!

Come on Patty just don't underestimate Jelena tomorrow, and you can be in the semi's.
