Anna and Tzipi - Australian Open 2004

Well the first slam of the year is abote to begin (finally).

Here is what Anna did in the Australian Open Last year
1R (14)Pistolesi def. Tu 6-4 4-6 6-2
2R (14)Pistolesi def. Matevzic 5-1 ret.
3R (19)Coetzer def. (14)Pistolesi 6-0 6-2

Tzipi Didn't made it to the first round , so I hope it will happend this year

Here is the 2004 qualifying draw for Tzipi:

I don't believe Tzipi can do it.
I hate to sound that way, but i have a feeling both Anna and Tzipi will lose 1r, and the Israeli surprise will come from the men's side (Levy in MD, Okun and Hadad in qualies, Ram/Erlich in Doubles...)

oh, and here's an off-topic question that's been bugging me for quite some time now... who the hell is Jaqcueline Rosen? Is she israeli (like aceman claims), or is she american (WTA)?

well OZ is after all her fondest memory of all times in a slam... nearly made it to 2nd round...
but to beat Tatarkova and Lee-Waters???

Well Tomas, she did it, and made it to the 2nd round

Tzipi beat Elena Tatarkova 6-7 (4) 6-4 7-5 in a very close match.

Next round:

i really thougnt she'll lose it...
next up is Tamaela... i don't know a lot about her, but she looks quite dangerous...
this time o'm going with Obziler...
and what a day for Israel: all 4 israelis winning!!!

Tzipi was down 2-5 in the 2nd set but came back stronge to win the match
Next Lindsay Lee- Waters (1 in qualifying).
