The R2 win in Baku from 2-6 1-3 down against Scheepers was perhaps Shahar's best of the year (which says a lot).
Slightly improving, she can beat any non top 50 player nowadays but can also still lose to any top 200 player.
Having said that, the top half of the draw is as
cakewalk open as can possibly be and she should make the final with that lineup, containing her and 3 players who were never even near top 100 and with the possible exception of Jabeur will never get there too.
(P.S. Shahar was also a set and a break down in her R1 match, trailing 3-6 0-2 to the Belorussian Kremen, but avoided another embarrassing loss by taking 12 games in a row.)
