Another thrilling and courageous victory it is, but she needs to think of what's ahead of her here, not top 10 implications; those are for the media and us, her fans.
Last year all those deep runs were stopped by top players (WS, Henin, Woz and JJ).
Suddenly with Kim's retirement, she's the highest seed left in the bottom half!
Moreover, not only she's more consistent and experienced than Wickmayer (though the Belgian is a dangerous player and a future top-tenner imo), she's 12-3 combined against the possible SF opponents, Bartoli and Ivanovic.
Opportunities such as this one don't present themselves often. The player she just beat took hers last year. Can Shahar do the same?
