A very revealing interview from earlier this week:

I'll just translate the headline for now:
"I was in denial. I didn't acknowledge my slide in time. I am dealing with the reality. I may drop down to #400, I may return to #20".

For the first time she also says she's not ruling out playing ITFs, and that she did contemplate retirement, but not thinking about it atm.
