The sports sites talkbacks are pissing me off.
Saying Shahar can only beat injured players
I've stopped looking at these a long time ago, most of them are stupid football fans. The sad thing is that the writers are no better. There's hardly anyone at the Israeli press these days who knows something about tennis.
A solid 6-2 6-4 over Amanmuradova to start with.
I'm actually satisfied that the road to MD will likely go through Govortsova, who upset her in their last two meetings, both on US hard courts (Stanford '07 and Memphis '08).
Sad to see Shahar playing in qualifier for Cincinnati.
People are forgetting that she's been injured for more than 3 months - last October and almost the entire clay court season, in which she had no points whatsoever to defend (thanks Conchita ). That will not do too good to one's ranking.
With all the (in part justified) criticism and mediocrity, she still has 3 QFs and 2 SFs in her current tally.
