:wavey: Urpi and Martinez!

The smatest thing she has done this year. I hope it's not too little too late though..
I'm really glad she did it, but she has to find a new one ASAP since Wimbledon is coming, so in my opiniop she should withdraw from doubles and start to work on it..

So who do you think she'll bring now?
I personally hope she'll team up with one of the Odeds.. Teig or Jaacob..

Good luck Shahar!

The black list:
1. Dedi Jaacob
2. Adam Peterson
3. Dan Hanegbi
4. Oded Teig
5. Urpi and Martinez
6. Martine Romec

Re: Finally! Shahar dupms coaches!

LOL you got your wish neta :p

No Oded Teig please.. he seemed kinda clueless. :tape:
Oded Yakov is with Tzipi so i don't think it will work either.
I wish she would click well with Adam Peterson but obviously it didn't go well with him when they try, so i'm kinda open for anyone

Re: Finally! Shahar dupms coaches!

Yaakob was great yeahm but you're right, he's with Tzipi and with almost all the other Israelis so I guess they wouldn't team up anymore, althgouh that would be great for her..

About Teig, I thought he was good.. Most of her achievemnets in the big tournys were thanks to him..But since they didn't get along at the end..

So I guess we'll have a new name, and then I'll make this thread to "Shahar's coach watch thread" since she likes to fire them every day, and we should check if her's doing a good job with her

Re: Finally! Shahar dupms coaches!

 I hope she won't break it, otherwise :help:

Maybe she'll make Mats wilander leave PHM :awww:

But sirously, I'd rather it to be an Israeli coach, it seems she does better with them, and I guess it is better since it's nicer to travel around the world with someone who speaks your language, from the same country

Re: Finally! Shahar dupms coaches!

At long last. :wavey:
How about Carlos Rodriguez? He's a Spaniard too, but "a little" better coach than those two... ;)
Does anybody know whom Carlos Rodriguez coached before Justine?

I'm too happy of course that Shahar fired her team.

I must say that at the beginning I thought Martinez could teach her
the stiles Shahar wasn't good at, E.g. slicing, drops etc.

But with time it was getting obvious they are only harming her game.

"Barcelona (ESP), Tier IV, $145,000Despite most of the players are already focused in Wimbledon preparation, a clay tournament is hold in Barcelona. Although it is a Tier Iv, it will present an interesting field including Shahar Peer, Maria Kirilenko, Dominika Cibulkova, home favourite Anabel Medina and Roland Garros surprising quarter-finalists Kaia Kanepi and Carla Suarez."

I think Shahar has just lost her mind.

I think she is seeking extra preparation time for Roland Garros 2009.

Re: Finally! Shahar dupms coaches!

 So it looks like otherwise I have no explnation what she's doing there instead of finding a coach.. Btw, first round against Llagostra Vives (I won't be surprised if...)

Re: Finally! Shahar dupms coaches!- Now, would you please look for a new one??

Maybe she needs a few Pesos to pay her coaching team after sacking them

( Not sure she'll pass first round though )

Wow!! Shocking!!!!
Siriously, I still don't understand what she is doing there instead of fining a coach.
She needs to find one asap, "even" withdraw from Estborn in order for doing so, and find a new one, better be Israeli and to build confidence in trinings and in a good relationship with her new coach. She can't come to Wimbledon with no coach, becuase that will end in another embarresing 1st round loss.. (So far she strikes 3..)

Re: Shahar's coach watch! Welcome Martin.. *scared*

Well I'm not so sure she was agressive today. 2-6 2-6 against another slumping girl, Petrova.

I know I'm not exactly the optimistic queen, but still, I can't see her getting out of that slump if she just continue playing in such a low confidence. She has just hired a new coach, so I really thought she would'nt play Eastborn and instead she would practice with him, get to know the coach better.. It's Wimbeldon next week!..
And it's her 5th loss in a row...

Re: Shahar's coach watch! Welcome Martin.. *scared*

The crisis in confidence that she must be experiencing can not be turned around by merely changing the name of a coach or a traveling partner. It seems like everybody on the tour has figured out her style of play and she seems to have no easy matches.
As for the coaching change, I'll wait another 2-3 tournaments to draw conclusions. Was Wimbledon an abberation?

I wonder will Shahar need to wait for Tzipi to retire to understand that there is no-one in the world that is better for her than Oded Yaacov, even if he can't be with her 24/7.

I agree about Dedi.

Well I hope the Wimbly R16 easn't over hyped since it looks like it for now..

I hope Romek is a really good one, who sees what she has to do, working with her on being agressive and what to do in the net area...
