Re: Keren Shlomo

Keren took advantage of an extremely good draw - two unranked players with no pro experience whatsoever and a 36 year old LL in the 900s(!) - to pass qualifying and a MD round in a 25K in La Coruna, which will put her once again in the top 600.
Unfortunately, I don't think she's worth that ranking.

Re: Keren Shlomo

The 1st round was one of the excellent draws she always seem to get (if Astrugo had her draws, they'd be at least 100 spots apart), but this is her biggest win in a long while.

Second 10K final of her career (Mytilini [Greece], Oct 2007). Not that she had to beat anyone of note until the SF, but still she seems to be improving ever so slightly. She might even sneak in to the top 500 after all

That's because the links are also broken at the official site
I hope someone of its staff will wake up and fix this...

Well, she did. Apparently when you play enough 10K and draw the right amount of unranked players you can be top 500 player even without being able to beat a top 500 player.

Does it really matter if you you are top 500, 400 or 600?

Re: Keren Shlomo

following her recent success, including this week's win in a Tel Aviv 10k, Keren Shlomo is expected to enter the top 400 next monday (November 9th) for the first time in her career.

Also this seems to be her first singles title!
