Wildcards:

1. Justine Hénin
2. Christina McHale
3. Alexa Glatch
4. Bethanie Mattek-Sands
5. Eleni Daniilidou
6. Tamira Paszek
7. Alicia Molik
8. Alja Tomljanovic

Okay well Hénin was obvious. Molik and Glatch are good choices. McHale is alright. Tomljanovic is okay too. But Beth has been playing shitty lately, and Daniilidou and Paszek have done ZERO, very bad choices .

My number one: Victoria Azarenka

ATP: Novak Djoković

Crazy Frenchies! Gilles Simon Alizé Cornet

Re: Wildcards:

I agree with iSzavay even though Eleni is my favorite player
What has Eleni done lately to get a WC?
I guess it's payback since they didn't give her a QWC last year when she was defending R3 points here

Daniilidou. Venus. Azarenka. Halep. Wickmayer.
Cornet. Ivanovic. Vesnina.. Vaidisova. Krajicek.
Paszek. Begu. Cirstea. Lisicki. Pavlyuchenkova.
Pironkova. Stephens. Tatishvili. McHale. Flipkens.
Grammatikopoulou ~ Papamichail ~ Sakkari
I'm obsessed with the Greek players. Deal with it.

Re: Wildcards:

I'm ok with these choices (except Paszek ) as long as Americans are pretty much the only ones who get QWCs.

Serena Williams ~ Maria Sharapova ~ Venus Williams ~ Jelena Dokic ~ Melanie Oudin ~ Christina McHale

Vandeweghe ~ Mattek-Sands ~ King ~ Hampton ~ Riske ~ Glatch ~ Brengle ~ Rogers ~ Stephens ~ Boserup ~ Davis ~ Keys ~ Lepchenko ~ Falconi ~ Chirico ~ Crawford ~ Gibbs ~ Pegula ~ Min ~ Townsend ~ Duval ~ Vickery ~ Bellis ~ Ahn

Re: Wildcards:

Coco Vandeweghe, Alison Riske, Anastasia Pivovarova, Sloane Stephens and Julia Boserup got QWCs. LOVE these choices. One more to be awarded to the winner of the pre-qualifying round of the BNP Paribas Open Challenge tournament this weekend!

thx. no QWC for NCAA players? Riza Zalameda got one before right? I thought it's some tradition...

Hm I haven't been following closely enough to know. That would make sense to give one to a college player. There aren't too many girls that could compete though. Irina Falconi and Lauren Embree? Maybe Stacey Tan? I would say Mallory Cecil and Julia Cohen but I think they left college to turn pro.

well, Zalameda beat Goerges in the first round that time and lost to Kudryavtseva in 3 sets (3rd set went to TB 5:7).
personally I think IW should grant a QWC to some player from the West Coast side schools
Falconi would be a good option for Miami

Re: Wildcards:

I don't know what Nastya has done to warrant a QWC, but I don't even care. Go and win some matches!

Julia Cohen is going back to college. To a division II school
And agreed, it would be nice for Indian Wells to grant a QWC to a top SoCl college player if it fits with her schedule (i.e. Maria Sanchez?). And Falconi for Miami. Too bad college tennis is put on the back burner...

Serena Williams
Victoria Azarenka Venus Williams
Sloane Stephens Christina McHale

Bingo! I was thinking about Maria Sanchez too! She's doing really well recently. Maybe she'll get a WC for the LA tournament later.
