And I think YOU will find that I was directing my post at everyone in the discussion. :)

I do think the situation is a little different between the 3 countries, but I already addressed that.
Yeh, Im aware that you adressed it earlier, hence I expanded on your point with a more accurate reflection on the situation. And I fail to see how addressing a provocative post to everyone makes it less offensive? You obviously were looking for a reaction and you got one  Bottom line is you just ended up looking stupid :tape:

Re: LIVE STREAM- AO wild card play

I was not 'looking for a reaction'. Just because you felt the need to give one does not mean I was looking for one. :)

And please share how I 'ended up looking stupid'?

You may not have been the one to start the fight, but you seem to be the one who continues to be aggressive, so you might wanna drop the 'internet tough guy' persona and just discuss, no?

You havent posted anything worthy of discussion - Ive already explained that brits dont need to elevate their juniors because they have proved themselves that they are very capable and talented. You ended up looking stupid by implying that my reacion was over-defensive simply for stating the obvious and replying with a totally reasonable comment.

Internet tough guy? Sure, ok :help:

By elevate their own juniors, I mean that they hype them up more than people from other countries do. And you can't deny that Brits aren't already talking about Robson as a future top player. And why would you want to, it's not even a bad thing that we hype our own players.

USA/Australia: Good current players, average group of juniors
Britain: Average current players, good couple of juniors

So while GBR do have a couple of players who look to have bright futures (Robson and Watson), I still think that Britains hype them more than others do.

Are you talking about your response to GeeTee? If so, then GeeTee insulted British players, to which you responded with insults to Australian players.

Rather defensive (I didn't say you were overly defensive)? Yes, both of the posts were defensive, trying to insult players from each other's country to make players from your own country look good is defending the players from your own country, thus the 'rather defensive' comments both sammy and I made.

Bobusic up 2-1 over Molik. Both of them playing really well
I dont think Molik is playing really well at all. Her backhand will be eaten alive by any of the top players come January, though why she needs to play these play-offs I dont know.

I already did in this post. And I will apologise for terming it as an insult. Re-reading over it I realise it's not really an insult, but neither was anything in GeeTee's post. They were both sly ways of slagging off the other country's players though. :rolls:
You're right, its not an insult - I love Molik, Stosur and Dokic and have a lot of respect for their talents and games, so wouldnt make such broad put-downs regarding the state of Australia's game. To read an insult aimed at Britains best women, however, particularly annoyed me as they have worked very hard and steadily improved to reach their current level, with no role-model or succesful player to help take the pressure off them. There was no need to say it and I think I made my feelings clear.

Yes, go you. But you were defending them, and that's all I said you were doing, so I really don't see why you ever took issue with anything I said, because after all of this we've pretty much reached the conclusion that we agree on most of the things in the discussion.

True, Im sorry about that. I actually mistook you as the poster who made the comment initially but I realise my error! Molik better come thru this match...
