Henin needs a lot of work...

..if she wants to contend for AO.

I think she has a legitimate shot IF ... she can do a lot of work on her game.

I'm not expert but watching this match with Czink, her slice just looks to be sitting there, her serve definitely needs some work and her shots seem.. off. Movement seems good (footwork sharp as always), she's definitely generating power, but nothing seems as solid and tight as it was in 2007 or even parts of 2008.

Maybe it's just rust or getting used to competitive play.

One thing's for sure though.. it's very refreshing to see her back on the court.

I always wanted to be somebody. If I made it, it's half because I was game enough to take a lot of punishment along the way and half because there were a lot of people who cared enough to help me.

Ummm, how can you tell. She has barely played? Serena looked bad in Hobart that won year and then peaked in the latter rounds of the AO.

It's just this match I think. She played well against Petrova bot in this match she is making a lot of errors and seems timid to go for her shots.

Petkovic Li Clijsters Jankovic Lisicki
Kvitova Wawrinka Gasquet Nalbandian

It's only her third match.

This is the worst match so far from her, Czink played like a-- the first set and Justine had to do very little and in the second Justine was AWFUL.

Re: Henin needs a lot of work...

You're right that she would need to step things up than the level she has played with so far in the current match. But this is Brisbane and Czink. I think she only goes out and plays as well as she thinks she has to play to get the job done. Evidently she came up a bit short in the second set.
