Re: Yanina in 2015
I personally think she's biting more than she can chew. I'm not saying it's not possible, but I believe it's better to start with top 50 as a goal, then go to top 40, etc. (but that's probably because it's more my style). I doubt she'll be top 10 next year. But I do believe she has a good chance of going back up the rankings. Let's start with top 50.
Imo, it will be interesting to see who will be the best Belgian at the end of 2015. I think either Kirsten or Yanina. I suspect Kirsten to go back up the rankings again. She played as a zombie from April to July (up until Wimbledon, actually) because her Grandma died. I hope top 40 at least, but I think she has the potential to get higher (top 30). First two weeks will be interesting, 'cause she actually has quite a lot of points to defend then.
Yanina, hmmm. I dunno, to be honest. I know she has potential, she can reach top 30, but we'll have to wait for the season to unfold itself before we can judge. The past two years, she's said ambitious things before, but didn't quite live up to them. Best wait to see how her mental state is gonna be.
I don't think it's gonna be Alison or Anso. I hope they'll both get/stay in top 100, and that they'll both rise up the rankings, but unless something dramatic happens they're not yet on the level of Kirsten and - an in form - Yanina.
