Yanina won her SF today vs Hlavackova 46 62 64

Final will be against the Romanian Simona Halep who beat Bacsinszky rather easily 61 63

Good luck!

Re: 2010 Season Finale: forget Asia, back to Europe: ITF Torhout.

Meanwhile they have made the MD in Luxembourg, and this is Yanina's quarter:

(7)Jarmila Groth (AUS) v Tathiana Garbin (ITA)
Qualifier v Iveta Benesova (CZE)
(wc)Virginie Razzano (FRA) v Anne Keothavong (GBR)
Patty Schnyder (SUI) v (3)Yanina Wickmayer (BEL)

Soooo not good

I think Yanina's form is not as good as it was at USO (where she beat Schnyder in 3rd set TB) and Schnyder's seems to be as good..

If she get's past the 1st round, I'd be glad.

Re: 2010 Season Finale: forget Asia, back to Europe: ITF Torhout.

Ive been sick the last two days,so I couldnt follow her QF and SF matches in Torhout, but so good she won them

Hopefully she takes the title at home,I think it may lead to a plus of confidence and a good finish of the season

Too bad they lost the doubles final, but Bacsinszky/Garbin is strangely a good team

tough draw in Luxembourg, but Schnyder lost 1 & 2 the Linz final,so there are hopes

Doubles with VIP,not that I like it but will be interesting to see how they will perform .Hopefully we can see a match atleast..

Yanina d. Halep 63 62 and won her home tournament

She seemed to get in better form by each match which is good news considering the upcoming Luxmebourg tournament and Bali of course

Torhout
Hopefully Patty's bad match on Sunday in Linz means that she is low on confidence . Nothing against her, but it is better for Yanina then

Daniilidou. Venus. Azarenka. Halep. Wickmayer.
Cornet. Ivanovic. Vesnina.. Vaidisova. Krajicek.
Paszek. Begu. Cirstea. Lisicki. Pavlyuchenkova.
Pironkova. Stephens. Tatishvili. McHale. Flipkens.

Re: 2010 Season Finale: only Bali left!

Yes, she was.

She already started the match going down a break (followed by re-break though), but still in first set I thought she'll be making it pretty easy for Schnyder, then managed to fight back somehow but still lost it. She was so up and down.

Oh well, good day for Schnyder fans (= most of GM today) I guess

Re: 2010 Season Finale: only Bali left!

^^I watched this match. IMO main reason they lost was because of the poor net-play, Ana was a bit better but Yanina was kind of hopeless in the beginning Afterward their reaction got somewhat better. But they both were relaxed, smiling and laughing. It was good to see
