Re: Yanina Wickmayer

Didn't see the match vs Kvitova but it was a real mess it seems...
Wicky was leading 4-2 in the third and then gave it away against a even more worse Kvitova

Really, where is the Yanina of 2009-2010?

Yanina & Vladimir Platenik agreed to stop working together. That's coach n°11.

Will she ever find the right coach?

I actually liked all the advice he gave her in Auckland. Itīs not his fault that she abandoned his successful strategies after a few games. Seems to be a huge struggle for her to play smart tennis. She always falls back into her bad habits of most predictable hitting. Thatīs a big problem, when you donīt have a lot of margin for error in your game. She is always forced to play an extra ball, because she literally plays into the opponents hands too often. Eventually the errors pile up.

I am not a fan of the direction a lot of Maria threads have taken over the last 12 months.

The undertone is very disappointing, aggressive and the comments are sometimes rude to a player just trying to earn a living, playing her hardest and having a good amount of success given her god given, natural talents.
You made the list: Cibulkova (President), Mladenovic, Wozniacki, Kerber, Cornet, Watson.
Please note this is a signature about Tatjana Maria

She wants to go back to playing aggressive tennis, she feels the most confident in this style of tennis.
Doesn't look like any coach will be able to convince Yanina to change her game.
