Re: Sabine's 2015 American Summer
I hope she keeps working with Kaas for a while, otherwise she'll never go anywhere. She needs a coach to be constructive, to have some solid bases, and it started to work pretty fine this spring (just recall the panic of the first months of the year and you can see a huge difference already).
I don't know if Sabine can become a different player than what she already is (means, a very inconsistent one despite some impressive peaks), she may never become consistent enough, but still if she keeps making an effort with Kaas in the right direction, it can only bring good results in the end. Progressively, but surely.
What do I mean by "right direction"? To me, from what I could understand from Kaas and Bine's exchanges on the on-court coaching, it's not about being more consistent only, but also about optimizing Sabine's offensive game in a more rational way, without being erratic. I know it's not easy for Sabine to not be erratic since she's emotional, but it's a process. She's also able to stay focused. A coach can teach you to control your emotions, and to focuse on the right things of the game to not lose control of it.
