Re: BGL BNP PARIBAS, Luxembourg 2012

She played much better than in Linz and it was the worst first round opponent you could get in Lux atm. First set she really played strong and full of confidence. But her serve (the first) said "good bye" in the second set, especially from the advantage side and never came back.
Flipkens, mentored by Clijsters in Lux., got stronger and a groupe of belgian fans supported her loud.
The rest is already known

But I will never forget my first Lisicki match in live
If I was a fan before I'm a fan4ever now
New outfit and a little bit of old Lisicki w. fist pumping and enjoying good and bad moments and the best: I had the chance to meet her today just before she returned home to Berlin. She is optimistic and healthy and will come back more resistant in 2013 (die ungerade sind ihre guten Jahre).

...and damn it! She looks much better in real than in tv or on pics, simply stunning!!!

Enjoying the days in Lux...

it makes me feel like watching the end of <the dark knight>, when Batman hurried off to the shadow in the end, James rushed down the stairs and asked his father why people don't understand Batman, as the Batpod rised up ramp into blinding light......

Sabine has to work very hard on her fitness and physical stamina during off season and she has to do it in an effective way, after she has begun to recognize this as a major obstacle to her progress. Maybe Sabine realizes this as a key moment of her career. If she won't get a grip on her constant injury and illness problems (if it's even possible with her body) she will never establish herself as a top class player.

Nevertheless, Sabine can be very proud of what she achieved this year at Wimbledon, nearly repeating her success from last year. And, Sabine can be very proud of how she competed at the Olympics. Too bad she barely missed a medal. I initially thought it was a forgiven chance. But if you look at how devoted she was to her dream of a Olympic medal, how she bent over backwards to get there, how much she fought for her country despite her abdominal injury (probably that's why she didn't go to the opening ceremony), putting at risk the US Open. I as a German say, that was hugely impressive.
Err, which was exactly what I have been saying, but getting criticized for it!!!

Thanks for giving us a glimpse of what it is like to experience Sabine Sunshine firsthand That's something we need a little more of on this site

Maybe I can make it to Charleston or Miami next year -- or should I dare say I hope she plays Memphis which is even closer (I know I will get attacked for even mentioning that because it is fewer ranking points than Doha, but a tournament she feels more comfortable playing).

Re: BGL BNP PARIBAS, Luxembourg 2012

Well, she will have to play smaller tournaments, because of her ranking, she won't be seededin the bigger ones, so you could get lucky.

Memphis seems very unlikely since it collides with the MIDDLE EA$$$T duo in february, but if you could make it to Miami, that would be totally different experience

Tell me about it

Geekking -- I was just wondering from your message if the something you were planning for Sabine was going to happen at the WTA Championships? If so let me know when so I'll know which part to watch.

Re: BGL BNP PARIBAS, Luxembourg 2012

I won't be able to watch any match tomorrow because of my responsibility out of the court. But Thursday there will be a fan who will be shouting for Sabine with a little surprise

A little clue: Maria and her fans will enjoy it

I'll support Angie this year.(sorry Petra) If you hear "Auf Gehts" it will be me
To be honest, Kerber is not in my favourite list but she is German, she needs more support than any other player because of her group and the main reason she is childhood friend of Sabine..

Btw, this year Serena and Vika will get huge support from Turkish fans.

Honestly, I don't see any reason to support a player who isn't present in Istanbul, even it's Sabine
Somehow this imagination scares me - hope you weren't get locked up ....

Sometimes its really embarrassing to be a Sabine fan
