Good that she plays doubles as well!
Sabine is in good shape, as long as she doesn´t turn :cuckoo: mentally she has all chances to beat Cibulkova, it will depend on her anyway, but we´ll see, Sabine is not really predictable these days, 1st serve percentage should be better than it was today , that is for sure, good luck!

Sabine played some really good points against McHale and won quite well :) She is gaining in confidence, despite giving away cheap points as well. It was entertaining to watch and she was having fun on the court playing for her country. No doubt it will be alot more intense against Domi though but as a fan I definitely am feeling optimistic about her chances.

It's a tough draw. Hope she plays well!

Nice to see her playing doubles here too :)

Tough draw came out. She can defeat Cibulkova but it depends on her game and mood. Yesterday she defeated McHale but she played without pressure and we can say that she was mentally ok (Germany was leading 3-0 and already qualified for World Group). She played good but it was not the best. After a long time her dropshots worked and she took risks. She is going to play in her home country so we can see victory for Sabine. If Sabine puts her real game it will be a 3 set match otherwise 2set easy win for Cibulkova. For her doubles match, she is playing with great doubles partner and I hope she will increase her game with playing doubles with Stosur.

As I said, it will depend on her, Cibulkova can´t decide a match with her own strokes against Lisicki and really great that Sabine played good enough today to win it!

15 aces, that is great, has been a long time since she served so many aces for the last time, first serve is really a weapon again
!
She dominated the match anyway, but still has some mental problems here and there, not that confident yet but great that she was able to hold in 1st set at 44 and 55 after she had an early break there as well and already wasted SP at 54* and in 2nd set it was just really surpising that she didnt give up after she wasted that *53 and was behind 56*, amazing to see..first serve % was too low first but then was really good, we´ll see what she can do against Na Li, will be a match with amazing winners followed by pathetic errors, but it will be interesting again, and again 60pts for her , she is really coming back, hope she gets mentally stronger now with every match as well! :)

So enjoyable to watch my gal Sabine playing on Euro Sport and see her hit 15 aces and hold it together when it mattered most. Yes, it was shaky at times with loose shots and mental lapses (not a big surprise) but she and her fans will take any win she can get against high ranked players and she certainly deserved the straight sets win! Now for Li Na :bounce:
