Beijing/Peking: Injured, consistent or Beijing07 Agi?

Agi's draws:

(12) Maria Sharapova (RUS) vs. Tsvetana Pironkova (BUL)
Agnes Szavay (HUN) vs. Elena Vesnina (RUS)
Timea Bacsinszky (SUI) vs. Julia Goerges (GER)
BYE: (8) Victoria Azarenka (BLR)

3)Chan/Huber (TPE/USA) vs BYE
Szavay/Zahlavova Strycova (HUN/CZE) vs Georges/Hercog (GER/SLO)
Lefevre/Zakopalova (FRA/CZE) vs Grandin/Hsieh (RSA/TPE)
Dushevina/Parra Santonja (RUS/ESP) vs (7)Raymond/Stubbs (USA/AUS)

Bad memories about Vesnina, when they met on HC, Vesnina beated Agi easily, but consistent Agi can do it (if her injury is better now).
Doubles , after the Prague final, I didn't think I will see this team.
Hajrá Ági tomorrow in singles!

"Fine words." Tyrion was unimpressed. "Words are wind. Who is this bloody savior?"
"A dragon." The cheesemonger saw the look on his face at that, and laughed. "A dragon with three heads."

Suckvay returns .

I'm REALLY, REALLY beginning to wonder how I can support someone so pathetic. All the reasons I got to love her for are gone. Like fighting spirit, good mentality, beautiful shots. They have disappeared .

Haha, well we have similar opinions .

Bali that would've been so nice. Maybe if she win Luxembourg they'll give her a wildcard. Fat chance of either though.

So doubles is not on the order of play for tomorrow. Maybe Monday then. I'm about this team, both are good at doubles, I just question the chemistry...

Re: Beijing/Peking: Injured, consistent or Beijing07 Agi?

I´m over this loss,I wish she would play Osaka, but I know she won´t

If everything is right she will play Luxembourg and then the ´10 season will be over for her, unless some miracles happen and she will somehow be in Bali.I wish she could use her off-time on seeing a sports psychologist,a person who can help her mentally,so she would be trying to change that loser-mentality she has..I also think that being in a great shape mentally would help to feeling better in physical part..I believe she will be way to proud to do so,but if in January things doesn´t change, then I´ll seriously start to wonder if she is worth to have as a fave or not

Re: Beijing/Peking: Injured, consistent or Beijing07 Agi?

She had so much worse results than this. I think if I stayed her fan after 2008 then she should make something really stupid to change it.
Agi's problem is that, if she isn't on top physically, she doesn't believe she can win matches. Same with the Pennetta match this USO. It's not good because, how I read it, she had plenty of chances this time too.
Sports psychologist- it was the most used word on Hungarian forums, when she couldn't even win matches. But she just doesn't want one, and thinks if she works hard on her game, her self confidence will come back and everything will be OK. It's not good, but she is Agi

Louxemburg - I haven't got high hopes for this as I said already, if she isn't 100% healthy, she should pull out, otherwise just try it, maybe it will help in the Bali WC.

Re: Beijing/Peking: Injured, consistent or Beijing07 Agi?

well Gregorio, you´re right,we´ve through much worse times than this, but I hoped that she would change and gave up choking in almost every set of every match. This year has been better compared with others disasters, but still I think/feel she could have done much more, she is certainly much better than the results says. And after a while gets boring and is plain sad how many times she has wasted some important leads..Well,if she thinks that she would be better without the sports psychologist,I´m not anyone to say that is wrong

For me her year is over, wheter she will play Luxembourg or not, because I know, and call me negative if you want, that she wont be in Bali

Maybe next year...

Re: Beijing/Peking: Injured, consistent or Beijing07 Agi?

Well you said she got through those tough times without a sports psychologist, and she did, but this year has only been SLIGHTLY better than last, she is still nowhere near where she should be. It's just so stupid to be losing this many matches because of messed-up head. Especially when her head used to be so good!
