Continue Your Good Form in Prague Ági!!!

Now that Ágnes has won Budapest, she will have some time to celebrate (probably the rest of the day) but tomorrow it is straight back to business and she will be flying to Prague, CZE for her next tournament. The toughest players in the draw are probably Safarova and Dulgheru (the top two seeds) and Patty Schnyder is playing it as well. Hopefully Ágnes can carry this good form from Budapest to her final clay court tournament of the year in Prague, and maybe win another title, although it will again be very tough!

My number one: Victoria Azarenka

ATP: Novak Djoković

Re: Continue Your Good Form in Prague Ági!!!

So the singles draw is out. Very, very tough. She has a qualifier first round, which can be tricky, and then probably Benesova in the second round and Dulgheru in the quarterfinals. I doubt she'll get past that section honestly, since she will probably still be sort of thinking about Budapest, but if she can emerge from that, I predict she wins!

Re: Continue Your Good Form in Prague Ági!!!

Doubles draw is here. Ági with Monica Niculescu. Erakovic/Karolina Kosinska are the first opponents, so that is a winnable match. IMO these two should do well, both are good in doubles.

Oh, and I forgot to mention since she is playing a qualifier she can't play until Tuesday or Wednesday, so she will probably play singles one of those days and doubles the other.

Guys, say something here just because Budapest was awesome doesn't mean the next tournament is meaningless!

Ági is playing third on Center Court tomorrow, which means we will see her on the livestream .

Re: Continue Your Good Form in Prague Ági!!!

Oh, the opponent is Ungur. She beat Erakovic 6-2, 6-2; Hofmanova 6-1, 6-2; and Paszek 6-2, 3-2 RET. so she is clearly in good form .

Do you have a head-to-head Hakapeszi ?

Re: Continue Your Good Form in Prague Ági!!!

64 63,started well and finished even better

I think is a good win,and a solid start. And what I really like the most is that she seems to do well lately on closing sets and matches,a thing that in the past gave a lot of troubles.I really think that Budapest win has give this confidence to her

Next is Benesova, with who Agi leads 1-0 maybe? .I only remember a QF in Bad Gastein ´08,with Agi winning 62 62

Re: Continue Your Good Form in Prague Ági!!!

It's easy to end matches against players like Ungur or Cornet, who almost gave up at the end. But against for example Dulgheru who fights until the end Agi should concentrate better.
I hope she can win more matches, she looked good, not tired from last week

Re: Continue Your Good Form in Prague Ági!!!

I think both she and Görges won all of their singles matches after their solid doubles campaign in Wimbledon.
