I was always under the impression that Britney/Backstreet Boys/NSync had more no. 1s than X-Tina (in fact, I only knew of Genie In a Bottle !) I was just looking up the US Charts since 1990, and X-Tina has 4 US no. 1s (Genie, Come On Over, What A Girl Wants, and Lady Marmelade.) Backstreet Boys have 0, NSync has 0, and Britney has only 1 (Baby One More time.) Very interesting, isn't it . And even more surprising, to me at least, is that Stripped, with somewhere around 9.5 million copies sold worldwide after one year, outsold Britney at the same point. Just goes to show you how biased the media can be. Even as a devout X-Tina fan, I thought for sure the other pop acts would have had more success.

I lied. Nsync's "It's gonna be me" went no. 1 . Still, 4 to 2 .

"Beautiful" was also #1 last year!
Christina can really sing. I love stripped, I did not buy it until I heard "Beautiful" and read that none of the remaining songs where like "Dirty" which I hated. I'm so happy I bought Stripped, it's a fantastic album!

I think Beyonce wins that battle. I know "Survivor", "Independant Women, Part 1", "Bills, Bills, Bills", "Say My Name", "Baby Boy" and "Crazy in Love" all went to #1.

Granted, some are Destiny's Child, but Beyonce wrote all of Destiny's child stuff (or most)

i dont think its fair to compare destiny's child(though bee was the lead singer) to x-tina. we'll have to see how wee bee does in her 2nd album.

Survivor didn't hit no. 1, but Bootylicious did .And Beyonce isn't pop.

Not at all ! X-Tina's worldwide album sales have ALWAYS been higher than Brit. That is why "Britney" has only sold an estimated 6-8 million worldwide 2 years after release compared with "Stripped" selling 9-9.5 million despite "Britney's" 4.5 milllion US Count to "Stripped's" 3.8 million US Count.
