American Philosophy = Might Makes Right
"We can no longer permit any nation, or group of nations, to attempt to settle their arguments with bombs and bayonets. If we continue to abide by such decisions, we will be forced to accept the fundamental philosophy of our enemies, namely that 'Might Makes Right.'"
- Harry S. Truman, President of the USA, after WWII
Is Truman describing America? Or her enemies?
Is the philosophy of 'might mkaes right' truly morally repugnant? Or just a way of doing business?
Proud to be an American
Not blind. Not uninformed. We are party to atrocities. But the response of the world after 9/11 is worth noting. Even our most dire enemies offered aid. We should all be so lucky.
