Too funny - engrish.com

Every now and then a site comes along that truly makes your day. I've laughed so much at this I had to share it. Some gems from www.engrish.com...foreign products and sites that just dont translate. Go and visit the site cos its hilarious

Would anyone like a Woody?

If Joy's reading...do you have anything to do with this?

One of my favourites...Fannie tissue!

As the site says...just dont drop it in the shower:

I always rely on Animal Colon air freshener...

I'll take the other exit, thanks...

Even funnier with the English meaning of 'fanny'!

Man, proud man, drest in a little brief authority, most ignorant of what he’s most assured,
his glassy essence, like an angry ape, plays such fantastic tricks before high heaven,
as makes the angels weep.

I brought a whole lot of examples of 'Engrish' home with me when I went to Japan. Chewing Gum, cookies, candy, etc. They put Engrish on everything and it hardly ever makes sense. I remember one trying to sell its cookies as 'of elegant tasting crispy'.

I must say that today's Engrish of the day is one of my favourites:

Everything you do continues long after you've gone

Haha...I wouldnt worry. Probably there's lots of English products that mean rude things in Japanese, but none of us are educated enough to find out

I found that Japanese have difficulty to pronounce final consonant when I visited there. So, the word 'engrish' is only for Japanese I guess.
So, television sounds like 'te-re-bi' and target sounds like 'ta-ge-tu'. And they have only 5 vowels. Very simple. So, Japanese word are mostly easy to pronounce if not long one.
It's quite different from its neighbor countries such as China & Korea.

Anyway, I speak broken English too.

Just speaking from experience, but Japanese doesn't have the letters 'r' or 'l' in their vocabulary, so Japanese people find it very difficult to pronounce these letters' sounds. I have a professor who is Japanese but who has been living here for 20 years and he still can't pronounce these sounds with any accuracy. It takes a few repitions to realize he's saying "syllable", for instance.

A real LMAO site is this one:

Make sure your sound is on for this one
