Red face The most perverse people of history

A writer called Miranda Twiss has written a book where she list those people who have the doubtful honnor of being the most perverse people of history. They are

Personages so known as Calígula (the schizophrenic emperor), Nerón (the fifth emperor of Rome), Atila, King of the Hunos (he whips of God), John without Earth (cruel and implacable monarch), Torquemada (the Spanish inquisidor), Prince Drácula (Vlad the Empalador), Francisco Pizarro (the conqueror of the Incas), Maria I the Bloodthirsty one (a catholic queen in a protestant country), Iván IV the Terrible one (the czar of all the Rusias), Isabel, countess Báthory (countess Drácula), Rasputín (the crazy monk that ended a dynasty), Josef Stalin (a tyrant of century XX), Adolf Hitler (the father of the final solution), Ilse Koch (the vixen of Buchenwald), Pol Pot (the creator of the genocide); and Idi Amin (the butcher of Eastern Africa).

Any thoughts???

caligula

A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening ear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn.

ilse koch worked in a concentration camp and was incredible cruel to the prisoners but I wonder who wasn't who worked there so you can probably replace her name with all people who did that work since I doubt anybody was nice and sensitive

Idi Amin was dictator of Uganda in the 1970s. He forced all the Asians (who were very overrepresented in business ownership) to leave the country, and IIRC was also responsible for a fairly large number of murders.

The King John mentioned is John (Lackland), King of England who was forced to sign the Magna Carta.

What, no mention of the Marquis de Sade? In a "who are the most perverse people of all time" thread? Color me surprised

Dracula and his wife -- that's a bit much.
