I love how harsh the critics have been on it...and only because of the J.Lo backlash that they (the critics) themselves helped to create. There's even been a comparison to her as the "new Madonna". Puh-leeze! Anyway, I'll reserve judgment until I actually see it (opposed to everyone else that's slagging it). But....

L.A. Confidential is probably the best movie ever, therefore better than Gigli.

troof be told, i ain't seen it either and don't plan to after reading all the sucky reviews but i actually like Jennifer, i think she's one of the hottest latino chicks on the planet, wouldn't like to live with her thou or even work for her, but anyways, on rottentomatoes.com Gigli was rated at only 2%

so more rottentomatoes ratings for comparison

Glitter, 5%
From Justin to Kelly, 9%
Battlefield Earth, 4 %
Kangaroo Jack, 8%
Juwanna Man, 9%
Master of Disguise, 2%
Corky Romano, 5%

this is not good....

what some critics say:
"A recent episode of South Park suggested that a fourth-grader's hand puppet could turn in a better performance than Ms. Lopez, and in the case of Gigli, it's hard to argue."
-- Luke Y. Thompson, NEW TIMES

"I am giving Gigli one star and that is only because of Walken: if Brest were smart, when the film hits DVD, he should only release that scene and stick the rest in the deleted scenes section."
-- Peter Sobczynski, CRITIC DOCTOR

"An inert, toneless clunker... with the stars generating almost as much heat as Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley did in their public makeout sessions."
-- James Sanford, KALAMAZOO GAZETTE

"I fought the urge to punch someone once it finally ended."
-- Jon Popick, PLANET SICK-BOY

"Rarely has a movie that doesn't star Madonna achieved such a skin-crawling mixture of deluded preening and bungled humour."
-- Liam Lacey, GLOBE AND MAIL

"Gigli is so horrible I had to go cleanse my palate afterward by watching Glitter."
-- Danny Minton, KBTV-NBC (BEAUMONT, TX)

"I went out with a guy who once told me I didnít need to drink to make myself more fun to be around. I told him, Iím drinking so that youíre more fun to be around." - Chelsea Handler

How long will it last with ben? I think Jlo will dump him when she wants to move to the next level.

You see how it went with her:

She had her first husband who was an actor/model who never worked.

Once she got big she dumped the garbage and moved on to Tommy Motolla! President of sony music!
RECORD DEAL!

Got a record deal and dumped him, but she needed street cred for her shaky vocals so she went to P DIDDY and got the ghetto pass.

STREET CRED!

Then she dropped Puffy after the nightclub incident, because she did not want to hurt her image. So, she took up with her nice suspect dancer Chris Judd to get her good girl image back intact after messing with puffy.

IMAGE REPAIR
Then she dumped Chris, because of course he is not powerful enough for her in Hollywood. So why not date Ben Affleck? Now she has the perfect setup.

ACTING CAREER MOVE

NEXT ON JLO'S LIST:

Bill Gates(because she cannot go any lower). lol

as for the question. I would watch any movie over gigli. well not crossroads, or sum of all fears.
