Unhappy Some of you might have noticed ...

... that I haven't been posting on this board for a while (but I forgive you if you didn't).

Well, the reason for that was that on Friday, June the 27th, I lost my mum.

She had already been ill for several years, with a sadly just too common disease, the one that, once it's there (and diagnosed too late), will always come back, even when there are times where you are optimistic that it's gone, but unfortunately it's not. In recent months it wasn't looking too good, although there was always some hope left. But then it all went way too fast ...

I just felt that I had to talk about this. I'm probably going to be around here more again and also posting here and there, but not because I have already gotten over all this (mind you, not at all ). It's just that I still love tennis so reading and talking about it might help to get some different thoughts (at least that has been the case before).

That's all for now.

OMG this is terrible news. I am really very sorry to hear your mother has passed on. although i do not know what it must feel to lose a mother, i feel very horrible knowing just how much a mother means to a child. i wish you all the best.

Oh, I'm so sad and sorry to hear about that. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Loss is always a very difficult thing to deal with. And permanent loss makes it even that much worse. Although it may be difficult, dwell on the happy moments and the wonderful times. Celebrate your mum's life and cherish the moments that you two DID have together. And continue to make more good memories with the family and friends you have around you today.

My sincere condolences.
