Edward and Sammo, I find your responses valid. However, I'm focusing on the pics much, much more than the religion. Other than the basic tenants that we all have been taught about Islam, I can't profess to know much more. I can appreciate the photos, though. I love ritual, historical structures, and colors. All of these pics represent that.
If I were to stand against all the structures and agencies that openly deny my selfhood, I don't have to go all the way to Islam in order to show protest. I could start in my own neighborhood, state, and country.
