healthy marriage?

Gee, I think this guy must really love his wife

Beauty in the eye of the builder

A woman who is worried her husband might leave her if she loses her looks has insured her face for 100,000.
Nicole Jones, of Bristol, is paying 200 a year for the policy, which will pay out if she is no longer deemed to be attractive.

She took the policy out as a birthday present for her husband Simon, who had always joked that he would leave her if she let herself go as she got older.

In order to claim on the policy Mrs Jones will have to be declared unattractive by a panel of 10 builders - a test she said her husband appreciated, being a builder himself.

Mrs Jones, 26, said: "When I met him I knew he was the sort of person who likes good looking ladies, but I've had a baby now and my figure isn't what it was before.

"He hated it when I was pregnant and my figure was changing and it was out of our control."

She said if the policy did pay out she would be able to use the money to hire a personal trainer or go to a health farm in a bid to get her looks back and lose weight, although she added she probably would not consider having plastic surgery.

But Mrs Jones said despite the lure of the six-figure sum, she would not be tempted to lose her looks just so she could claim on the policy.

She said: "The whole point of it is that I don't want to claim, so there is no point in letting myself go. My marriage is worth a lot more than that."

She added that she had never thought of herself as being particularly stunning, and was anxious to hold on to what she had.

Insuring your looks could be a good joke if you can afford paying the premium. Somehow, this does not sound like a joke.

"My marriage is worth a lot more than that". Mhm, a lot more of what, I wonder?

I think I posted mine while u were posting...so yeah, I mean, she is nothing special! But if she is insuring her looks, she is asking for all the comments in the world!

Why do some women do things like that for men? Boob jobs, diets etc.,

I met this guy and his girlfriend (they were both very hot) and she was eating and he said to her "you have had enough" and she said, "no, I want some more" and he said, "NO, you are DONE!" I had just met them and I was like... OHHHHHH KAAAAY. That woman who insured her looks just does nothing to help women become comfortable with themselves.

women who get boob jobs etc. for their men are stupid, insipid characters who feel they need the approval of a man to find their worth. it's sad, really.

speaking of women who do these things. i know a woman who had her butt padded because her man likes women with a little bit more tush than she had. guess what? he left her for her friend who by the way has an even flatter ass than she had to begin with!! go figure!
A person very, very close to me is going to get married to a man like that. I don't think she is stupid (I know for a fact that she was not raised to believe she is nothing) but I think she is so in love with this guy and he happens to have such, how should I say that-womanizing ways, and I think for her, she wants to keep this guy for whatever reason! Sweet Jezuz, her fiance wants a mother, not a wife, she is constantly cooking and cleaning for his lazy ass while he goes to titty bars and smokes pot all day. I don't think he demeans her in words, but in his actions (for right now at least) Hm...just thinking about it upsets me I guess. Sorry, had to vent I guess. I just think that although ultimately, it's her life, I think she wouldn't have done some of the things she does if she didn't fall in love with a guy that is such a jerk-He does have some nice things about him, but he is still a jerk.

Actually, its my sister. It't kinda weird- the guy she dated before him, she made him do everything for her. She was IN CONTROL, but I guess she now enjoys being subserviant.

that's not love. that's obsession!

In the middle of the night
I go walking in my sleep
Through the desert of the truth
To the river so deep
We all end in the ocean
We all start in the streams
We're all carried along
By the river of dreams
In the middle of the night
