Running Shoes Advice

Hi all the running enthusiasts out there

I'm looking for a new pair of running shoes for short distance running (less than 5km). I'm currently wearing Adizero and while they are extremely light, I find that they don't offer my feet much support.

Any advice on what to look out for when buying running shoes? What are you guys wearing?

Re: Running Shoes Advice

When I used to run, I used the Vibram Five Fingers. They are expensive but after using them I couldn't go back to running with normal sneakers. There is nothing like the feeling of running barefoot. It's a good alternative and it will change your heel-strike for the better.

I'm too busy doing other physical things like weights, tennis, yoga and ballet. Also, I was bored with running but winter is coming and I may start it again.

Not sure where you live, but go to a store that specializes in running shoes. In the U.S., and I'm sure elsewhere, they can put you on a treadmill to study your gait and then recommend the shoes that are best for your feet. For instance, I wear Asics because I have wide feet; Nike is too narrow. Also, they put in shoes 1/2 size larger, because you want room for your shifting toes.

BARBIE
is coming for your towel, too.
