Court documents: Sterling allegedly threatened life of wife's attorney

Los Angeles (CNN) -- Los Angeles Clippers co-owner Donald Sterling allegedly threatened the life of his estranged wife's attorney by shouting over the phone, "I am going to take you out, O'Donnell!" according to documents filed Thursday in a Los Angeles probate court.
The attorney, Pierce O'Donnell, said he took the remarks as a death threat.
When asked for a response, Donald Sterling's attorney, Max Blecher, said "Mr. Sterling means no harm and he just has a short fuse."
Sterling's wife, Shelly, also a Clippers co-owner, is seeking a court protection order for O'Donnell and at least two physicians who earlier certified Donald Sterling as mentally incapacitated.
The two physicians are witnesses in a July probate court trial that was initiated by Shelly Sterling, who is asking a judge to uphold her negotiated sale of the NBA team for $2 billion despite her husband's objections.
The NBA ordered the sale of the team after Donald Sterling's recorded racist remarks to a companion were made public.

Attorneys for Donald Sterling told CNN they plan to oppose the motion for a protective order.
Shelly Sterling's maneuver to seek a probate court trial in July comes as three physicians say her estranged husband, Donald, 80, is mentally incapacitated, O'Donnell has said. Court papers say her husband shows early Alzheimer's or other brain disease.

But Donald Sterling allegedly left "threatening voicemail messages last week" for two of the physicians, Dr. James Edward Spar and Dr. Meril S. Platzer, who earlier examined Sterling and deemed him incapacitated, according to Shelly Sterling's legal documents filed in court.
Donald Sterling's message to Platzer stated, "I'm gonna see that you lose your license" and "I'm going to sue you for a large sum, I guarantee you," court papers said.
Donald Sterling left a profanity-laced message for Spar with threats to "have you lose your license" and "get you fired" and "have your insurance company call me," according to documents.
Donald Sterling's voicemail to Spar also stated, "I'll show you what I think of you when I see you in court!" according to court papers.

Another attorney for Donald Sterling, Bobby Samini, then sent a letter to each of the two physicians that accused them of being "part of a conspiracy" and threatening them with litigation seeking "damages for your illegal conduct," according to documents filed by Shelly Sterling's attorneys.
The documents said Samini demanded that the doctors stop communicating with anyone other than Donald Sterling about his medical condition.
When asked about Thursday's legal filings, Samini told reporters that the public release of medical information is a distressing experience.
"He was upset his medical records were disseminated," Samini said.
The two physicians who examined Donald Sterling didn't have his permission to talk to third parties, Samini said.
Speaking about Donald Sterling's overall reaction, Samini stated: "I was shocked by how tempered he maintained himself."

Shelly Sterling recently reached an agreement with former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer to sell the Los Angeles Clippers, which is owned by a family trust, for $2 billion.
A Los Angeles probate court will hold a four-day trial on the proposed sale to Ballmer, beginning July 7. Shelly Sterling is asking the court to uphold her deal with Ballmer.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver banned the Clippers' co-owner for life and fined him $2.5 million after the comments went public. Sterling responded by suing the NBA for $1 billion.
The real estate mogul bought the Los Angeles Clippers in 1981 for about $12 million.

The Sterlings saga continues.
I don't blame him for going off and it's against the law for a doctor to discuss anyone's medical records even to their spouse unless the spouse has been given permission by the patient. Shelly is trying hard to get control of his empire and think the judge made the right decision.

Before you speak to me about your religion, first show it to me in how you treat other people; before you tell me how much you love your God, show me in how much you love all His children; before you preach to me of your passion for your faith, teach me about it through your compassion for your neighbors. In the end, I'm not as interested in what you have to tell or sell as in how you choose to live and give.

Ms. Karma (an RN who I'd trust my elderly mother's care to if she were closer and available, silly fights here notwithstanding) is correct that even a Donald Sterling still has a right to medical privacy.

Unfortunately she's not willing to recognize his right not to have a private conversation taped and sold by his former golddigger, after V-da-ho decided it might pay better to betray her then Sugar Daddy.

Agreed.
It's certainly against the law to publicly release medical records...unless by court order; which was not the case here.
The release of the medical records may very well be the undoing of Shellie Sterling's deal to sell the team, as well.
However, on the flip side, the threats against the doctors will also work against Donald Sterling.
Difficult to tell exactly where this will all lead (legally speaking).
My guess is that a judge may not allow the sell of the team since the wife may have used illegal means (medical documentation) to bolster the sell.
And Sterling may even retain legal ownership of the team, but still be required to pay the fine levied by the NBA commissioner.
What a freakish mess.

Re: L.A. Clippers Owner to Girlfriend: Don't Bring Black People to My Games

So who's Stivian-ho's Baby Daddy?

V. Stiviano drops hint another scandal could be brewing

FOX Sports AUG 05, 2014 2:21a ET

V. Stiviano, the alleged mistress of L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling who exposed the scandal that cost him his team, sparked an Internet frenzy this weekend with an Instagram post that hinted she might drop another bombshell. Stiviano posted a photo of her sitting with a young girl who's wearing a Clippers hat and the same face-covering visor that Stiviano has worn in public. According to reports, the photo was accompanied by this caption that later was deleted:

"I didn't really wanted to do this but you left me no choice. It's been four years since we met; so she says. Madison is going to be four soon. I think we should celebrated it, at a big event. Perhaps opening night of the #laclippers game or we can decide and wait till NEW YEARS to bring in 2015 with incredible news. I was thinking more in the sense of dropping hints until they - they (meaning the people of the 'UNITED NATIONS') get it.

And when they do get the message, via #Instagram Their all going to know your the father and I'm the mother. There would be no reason for a paternity test; because we already have one. Then now - meaning NOW, we would all be in trouble. Wouldn't we? LET THE GAMES BEGAN!!! Can anyone guest who's the father of my beautiful daughter Madison V Stiviano ?"

However, there's currently no caption with the photo; the only message accompanying the post is "DNA Paternity Testing Los Angeles" along with an 800 number. Stiviano previously wrote "LET THE GAMES BEGAN" a couple of weeks before her recording of Sterling's racist remarks was released on TMZ, according to the LA Times, which reported that it coincided with the deterioration of her relationship with the Clippers owner.

In March, Sterling's estranged wife, Rochelle, sued Stiviano, claiming she had received more than $2.5 million in lavish gifts from the Clippers owner and they needed to be returned. A big piece of the suit involves a duplex Stiviano purchased in December for nearly $1.8 million with money that Rochelle Sterling claims Stiviano received from her husband. Stiviano's name appears on the deed, and Rochelle Sterling is asking a judge to transfer the property to her and her husband.

In the filing, Rochelle Sterling accuses Stiviano of engaging ''in conduct designed to target, befriend, seduce, and then entice, cajole, borrow from, cheat and/or receive as gifts transfers of wealth from wealthy older men whom she targets for such purpose.''

Stiviano's attorney has filed documents to dismiss many of the lawsuit's accusations and denies that Donald Sterling was taken advantage of. ''Nowhere in the complaint is it alleged that defendant so acted nor that the feminine wiles of Ms. Stiviano overpowered the iron will of Donald T. Sterling who is well known as one of the most shrewd businessmen in the world.''

Rochelle Sterling's lawsuit claims Stiviano met Sterling at the 2010 Super Bowl. Since then, the pair had been in a relationship and Stiviano has received a Ferrari, two Bentleys and a Range Rover from the Clippers' owner, the lawsuit alleges. The vehicles are worth more than $500,000 according to the suit.

Told ya that's a bloodsucking, golddigging ho

Donald Sterling and gal pal reunite, incensing his wife

All is apparently forgiven between Clippers creep Donald Sterling and the gal pal who blew the whistle on his racist rants — the two were back together at his Beverly Hills mansion Wednesday, according to a new report.

But the seeming reunion did not go over well with Sterling’s long-suffering wife, Shelly. When the wife found out that V. Stivian-ho was back on the property, she called the cops, claiming there had been some kind of break-in, the website TMZ.com said.

Beverly Hills’ finest did respond. But upon speaking to both the bloated bigot and Stivian-ho, the officers learned that the she was his “invited” guest, and they left the apparently peaceable couple without making an arrest.

Stivian-ho got the final laugh. She remained with Donald even after the cops came and went, the website reported. Shelly has accused her curvy alleged rival of swindling the senile Donald out of $1.8 million, half of which she says should be hers as wife.
