Kind of suspected it (not from that photo - I still believed him and that dude were friends
), but when I read this interview
of his where he was recalling a date he had when he was younger taking a girl to an ice skating rink and he used the word "schlepping", a word, being a non-American, I had only ever heard used on The Nanny.
On a serious note...
It's so sad that any prolific male celebrity who is long-term "single", especially one as handsome as him (and thus more scrutinized), will always have the "Is he gay?" thing thrust on them.
I'm glad he used it to empower a message and didn't just do it. I don't think it was ever his intention to come out, he has always been very private but in doing so now to propel this message is very brave.
I remember reading an interview where he denied and I thought it was sad, not what he did, but the fact people felt the need to ask him in the first place and him having to "lie" about it, because he was not ready at the time, looking in hindsight what we know now and what he internally knew himself.
Even in that interview referenced, the reporter asks him if he has any celebrity crushes and to pretty much evade people perpetuating those rumours, he has to outright answer the question.
But I'm glad that is now behind him.
